TCM Spotlight: Errol Flynn Adventures on 7/27

From Classic Flix:
While there is no official word as of yet, we're passing along news that Warner will soon release TCM: Spotlight: Errol Flynn Adventures Collection. The 5-disc set will feature four new-to-DVD titles, with Objective, Burma! being a re-release. We've set the likely release date as July 27th, but that is just speculation. As far as price, all 5-disc TCM Spotlight sets have retailed for $49.92, so this set will likely follow that price point.

And I was so sure Uncertain Glory would get popped into the archive like so many other great Walsh films. Good news!

You are in for a treat. Desperate Journey is one of the movies I put on when I just want a fun rollicking adventure, and I"m 29 years old. Great Great film.

Re: TCM Spotlight: Errol Flynn Adventures on 7/27

Forgive me for being a little behind the curve here, but did they ever do a box set of the Flynn films that actually matter? Y'know, his...d'uuuhhhh...swashbucklers?
Captain Blood (1935), The Adventures of Robin Hood (1938), The Sea Hawk (1940), The Adventures of Don Juan (1948), and, from different studios...Against All Flags (1952) and The Warriors (1955). (What am I forgetting?)

And his westerns?:
Dodge City (1939), Santa Fe Trail (1940), Virginia City (1940), The Died with Their Boots on (1942), San Antonio (1945), Silver City (1948), Rocky Mountain (1950)
(A mixed bag, to be sure, but Silver City, arguably the best of them, is seriously underrated.)

And where would Charge of the Light Brigade (1936) fit in all this?

(Not to mention Cuban Rebel Girls.)

Looks like I'm way behind the curve--and maybe behind the 8-ball, too.
I'm glad DODGE CITY isn't stuck on that awful westerns set. Those four westerns are among the worst films Flynn made. So where is SILVER RIVER, one of his best?

Warner owns the rights to Silver River. Look for it to show up on the Archive at some point in the future (Too Much, Too Soon (I know it's not a Western) was released on the Archive a month or so ago). The good news for fans of any particular actor is that once Warner gets four or five titles featuring that actor, they usually release them as a "set" at $10 apiece rather than the $20 they usually charge.
