Yeah, those old sets where a while ago, and they did sell well, but the last few similar sets they put out sold in ever decreasing numbers.

Film quality/recognition plays a big part as you go deeper. Sure, everyone bought the Thin Man set, but how many of them then bought the subsequent Powell-Loy set? I'm no expert, but I've heard of most of the noirs in Warner's earlier sets but not any of these.

I'm making my way through this set and loving it.

Raymond Burr was terrific in 'Desperate'.
