Special Features

Rey Mysterio Jr. vs Mr. JL
26th August, 1996

Diamond Dallas Page Monday Nitro Highlights
Pros
-Any pre-NWO WCW Hogan is a rarity to me, and thus a treat
-Sting/DDP from '99 was a MOTYC.
-The return of the red-and-yellow Hulkamania was fun.
-The last WCW Wargames match. Awesome, awesome, awesome.
-The last Sting/Flair match is hugely important.

Cons
-Too many tag matches with Sting and Luger, LOD, Harlem Heat, and The Outsiders.
-Hogan/Luger is already on the the history of thw whc dvd.
-too many cruiserweight matches.
-I know it's important, but Hogan/Goldberg again.
-For that matter, Lance Storm vs. Booker T again...and on another WCW DVD.

More than likely not going to get this, but I will definitely consider it.

This seems like a really random match. What's its significance?

That is the match that has Hall and Nash come down after it and hands DDP an NWO shirt. DDP pretends to go NWO and then diamond cuts Hall and ducks Nash as Nash goes flying over the ropes and takes a table with him into the guard rail. DDP then ran into the crowd and was over like mad with the fans.

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XIII

I was looking at the listing and I was wondering if they have the segment where Sting was coming down from the air and Big Show and Hulk Hogan was about to fight him and Sting opened his jacket and showed the NWO black and white shirt and Hulk Hogan and Big Show was celebrating and hugging each other and then Sting started attacking Hulk and Show and then ripped his black and white NWO shirt and wore the red and black NWO shirt under it and joined the Wolfpac, that was great!

For those in illinois and around bridgeview, the k-mart on 79th has about five dvd copies of the story of wrestlemania out early. Strangely it's not where it should be and instead on one of those cubed discount racks(right near the register). $20 for those wondering.

But if you try to take it to the register, it might not ring up due to it not making street date yet, but not a bad deal at all for that set though.

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XIII

Well I want it on bluray, so I didn't buy it. I did snap a quick shot of it being out of place on the cheap movie rack.

I'm pretty sure it will scan just fine. I've bought stuff at this kmart before, when they put it out on accident.

Looks like WWE are going to start printing the content of the DVDs directly on the inner flap where the insert suppose to go;

About time they listened.

Cool. I actually prefer that to an insert.

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XIII

That makes me curious to see how they layout the BD copy of it. Will the listings be behind the disc on the artwork?

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XIII

I like this idea of the insert printed onto the package and at least we have something to follow on there in case lots of people were unable to print out Mark's inserts which were just stellar and again, big thanks goes out to Mark for a wonderful job on those inserts of those other sets. This is a good idea but how they lay them out for BD is another story.

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XIII

WWEDVDnews.com has posted pics of the Blu-ray version of Wrestlemania Story and sadly no content is posted like the DVD version.

http://www.wwedvdnews.com/wwe-true-s...-bluray/11220/

Still looking forward to getting the Blu-ray version given how the review said the film content used looks great in HD.

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XIII

If anyone is having trouble finding what WWE DVDs are available instantly on Netflix, since their search engine is horrible, I put together a list. I beleive I got them all.

The True Story of WrestleMania: Vol. 1

WWE: Top 50 Superstars of All Time

WWE: The John Cena Experience

WWE: The Rise & Fall of WCW

WWE: Bobby "The Brain" Heenan

Ricky Steamboat: Life Story of the Dragon

WWE: Hart & Soul: Hart Family Anthology

WWE: Breaking the Code

WWE: The Big Show: A Giant's World

WWE: Twist of Fate

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XIII

I'm very happy by this and hope they continue to do so...I don't really care about most of the matches since I've bought so many dvds that I feel like I've seen most of them.
