Whats the most money you've spent on one VHS,laserdisc,DVD or Blu-ray?
Remember the days when new VHS releases were 80-90 dollars? The most I've spent is 120 bucks on the Japanese laserdisc Import-Star Wars Phantom Menace. For some reason it was never released in the US.

would 84 bucks on the japanese import 6 disc Grindhouse set count (as it is technically one movie, just with the different versions and its extras)

Probably $85 bucks or so for the ST and X-Files sets when they first came out, but maybe that doesn't count as 'one'.
I've bought a few rare or OOP or exclusive discs on ebay, but I'm pretty sure I've never topped $100.

About $124-150 for the Russ Meyer Collection (Region 2) before I found out about Amazon UK's price long ago

If you're talking about a single disc, then it would be $45 on an out of print Ring of Honor show. If sets are being counted, I've spent over $100 quite a few times on complete series sets and WWE Anthologies.

Made the mistake of paying $60 for an MST3K: The Movie 2-disc bootleg edition with trailers and an hour-long convention panel with the whole cast and crew, which included footage of the film's deleted scenes. The first problem was that the material is hard to understand and the camera won't stop shaking, the second (and more pertinent problem to me) was that the guy didn't sell any at $60 except to me, so he dropped it to $25 the following week.
Now I just own the Universal DVD.

Embarrassing but true... I had a copy of What About Bob? (VHS) stolen on release week back in 1991. The rental shop had me pay $85 to replace it. About the closest I've come to playing that much is paying $65-70 for the Canadian X-Files sets back when that was an amazing deal on them.

Most I've spent was $35-40 a few times on larger sets though, $50 total for V1-2 of the Wrestlemania Anthologies and the entire Rumble Anthology, $40 for the entire Summerslam Anthology, $35 on the Monty Python 16-Ton Megaset and $35 on the 1994 New York Rangers 15-disc set.

I think $80 something for the Complete Wire, but that's a lot more content than the $72 something I spent on the three Godfather movies back in 2001 or so.

I'm pretty sure the most expensive release I've bought was a copy of WWF: Wrestlemania: X-Seven for like $40 or $45 off of eBay.

$25 for a single disc
The Matrix Ultimate Edition blu-ray cost me $51, that's probably the most I've spent on a single item

I guess I spent about $40 on the German MST3K movie DVD. But the American DVD was selling for about $100 at the time.

The Hellraiser:Bloodlines 3 disc German Monster Box for $100. It was limited enough that I bought it as soon as I found out about it. 3 different box artwork were available, each limited to 222 copies.
