What did you end up doing with that extra 7 inches or so of space?

I don't use my cases much either. Wait, I do use them to store and protect my movies. And occasionally I build a fort out of them.

I guess I'll keep my cases (until I sell them on ebay).

How would one go about shipping VHS cases?

You think it is that much? I guess it could be about that. Regardless, if you ahve 200 vhs tapes, you would have to have some serious deficiencies to be worried about the thickness of the carboard sleeves. And back then, they actually served a purpose, and werent worthless like the slip sleeves we get now.

Re: DVD shipping question

That would be like 1mm on each side? 1mm x 2 sides x 70 VHS Tapes = 140mm or 14cm = 5.5ish inches.

Re: DVD shipping question

I'm surprised nobody recommended placing them in an empty blank cd spindle case and putting that in a box? Assuming this was a real question.

Re: DVD shipping question

When it comes time to mail the VHS tapes, to get the maximum "protection to thickness avoidance ratio" correct, I recommend toilet paper. Single ply. Non quilted. sandpaper rough.

Re: DVD shipping question

He's 23. He ought to know how to ship things by now.

But then, he did recently trade his wii for a ps3...

Re: DVD shipping question

What a strange, but welcome bump. Should I just put them in a bag and say you handle it? He hasn't posted here in a long time, so my guess is that he took those dvds to the post office and they stuffed him in the bag. Never to be seen again.
