Don't ask me why, but I like to kick things off with either a cheesy '80s flick or one that's really out there in the gore department ...or a combination of the two. So if it were me, I'd go with something like Pieces, Chopping Mall, or The Toxic Avenger.

I've got Chopping Mall in my queue as well. Other previously-unwatched trash/cheese flicks to be viewed next month include the following:
Plus a fistful of Netflix Blu-rays.

I bought a couple dvds the other day for the challenge, based on price dont know how good they are but here they are: Flu Birds and Everlasting Evils. A 2 DVD set of 6 movies: Invitation, Blood Rites, Death From Beyond, Deadly Memories, The Innocent, and Siege of Evil. Invitation and Deadly Memories seem promising with the revenge idea that I have always been partial to.

I'd guess it counts, but if Donnie Darko is a 3 out of 10 on the true horror scale, Ghostbusters is a negative 5.

I think I am going to go that route as well. It's looking up for Chopping Mall.

I have a question for the horror panel.
I haven't seen Dark City yet. I know it's pretty sci-fi heavy, but does it cross over into sci-fi/horror territory?

Personally, I would not count it if I watched it, but it's kind of in that nebulus Donnie Darko type territory where I think it would be *ok*, but it is really Sci-Fi.

Guys I don't pretend to be on the horror panel but there is no horror gestapo that will come knocking while your watching a borderline horror film and take you away.
Watch whatever scares you that's what its all about.

I hope everyone knows I was using the term "horror panel" in a fun way.
The problem is that for first-time viewings you don't know if it will scare you or what the tone of the film is. Just wanted to get some feedback on that title. I might end up using it.
