I'm really itching for Wednesday so I can knock that out along with Emissary. My company is also going to be laying some people off tomorrow, so I may have much more time for this challenge than I want.

I'm almost at the same point in re-watching the Star Trek shows as you are. My comment would be: why wait? Are you going to finish all 7 seasons of DS9 and the rest of TNG Season 7 during the challenge? If not, then why not just start now and when the challenge hits you can just keep going. If you wanted to, you could keep track of what you watch now and just don't number it in your list.

It's just me being silly. I'd worked it out in my head at the beginning of the month that I would probably be starting DS9 around the start of the challenge and then that idea stuck. It's also giving me a chance to squeeze in Touching Evil, which I'd recorded off of Universal HD last year and has been eating up half of my available DVR space ever since. I'm not avoiding all sci-fi right now as I just watched an MST3k last night and have watched a few Twilight Zone episodes over the past week as well.

Does playing Lego Star Wars count towards anything? Each movie is broken up into 6 parts, so I could treat it as a mini-series. :D

Here's a special video game rule just for you. It would count if you sat and watched someone play it either live or from someone that made a video of them playing. You'd have to watch the entire thing from start to finish. When you finish, you'd get a count of one for the entire game only if it takes longer than 10 hours of actual playtime. Pausing the game doesn't count towards the time but it would count if the person playing it had there character stand there there and did nothing while you sat there with your eyes never diverting from the screen.

Yesterday I was thinking of an angle for allowing Coast to Coast AM. I'd treat each 4 hour show as only one entry to punish people since they should be watching. One way or another, people could get podcasts and listen to it on the go.

Isn't it time for a list thread? Or did I miss it?

And get my formatting, checklist, etc... set and everything so I don't have to bother with it during the challenge.

Asked it.

I just copied my list over from last year to edit and there sure are a lot of movies I can't remember a thing about.

Congrats!

I'm off work until the 8th, so my totals might start off high, but I'll slow down.

Think I'll start off at midnight with perhaps the crappiest film of the challenge, Parasite (1982). Been sitting in my unwatched queue, skipped over it to wait for this.

^^^^ I know my first movies are going to be Ghostbusters and Ghostbusters II. I use these challenges as a way to catch up on stuff that I am extremely ashamed I have not seen. Ghostbusters seems like a perfect starting point.

Unless something changes I'll start tomorrow afternoon with the new Matrix Blu-Ray. I've been wanting to watch it since I bought it.

I'm not. Today's my last day and they're killing off my position.

On the positive side, I've gotten calls from 3 employment offices today. One has me for the interview that they all make you go through when you sign up and one said they had a client that wants me to start work tomorrow on a project.

I still plan on doing the interview since I don't really know what I'll be doing for the project but at this point at least it's something.

A little late but is there any interest in doing a movie schedule like the horror challenge where there's a different movie every night to watch and then discuss?

I have a ton of Doctor Who to watch, I am pretty much completely new to it, but got in on the WB deal, so this will be a good month.

I want to watch Blade Runner, but I don't know which version to watch. The Final Cut? Director's Cut? Workprint? Theatrical Cut? Is one version generally considered the best?

I'd be somewhat interested. However, there's probably not enough time to put it together for this year. If I recall, it took a few weeks to finalize that list of horror movies for the October challenge.
