Charmed Situation?

I recently blind buy Charmed Season 1 and liked it so I got season two and watched it. I want to get the entire series now but should I continue with season sets or the complete series. I don't want the double dip but I can't find anyone to sell them too? Is the complete series really worth the purchase or am I better off collecting them in season sets?

You do get a bonus disc with the complete series but there's a lot of problems with the discs in the complete series sets being scratched, so be prepared to call them.

If your only one season in, go for the GOLD!

I only have the first two seasons too, but I'm planning to pick up the rest eventually, when I find them cheap enough. I'm avoiding the complete series set, because of the problems I've heard about with the discs being scratched.

I'll wait for them to get released in slim DVD sets (and cheap!) since the current sets are way to big.

Season 1 is huge, but Seasons 2 and up are slim sets, the same size as the Buffy, Angel and X-Files slim sets.

Buffy/Angel has newer sets that are actually DVD-case size with flippers inside to hold all 5/6 discs. Space is becoming a premium on my TV DVD shelf.

Re: Charmed Situation?

I have one of those, Early Edition: Season 1... I love that they can fit 6 discs in such a thin case. I wish they'd used those to begin with. I already sold off my big fat sets of Buffy/Angel/X-Files and went with the slim sets, but I doubt I'll bother doing that again.

X-Files and M*A*S*H have those as well.
