en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_X-Men_episodes

So it does have all the episodes from season 1 and season 2. Except some of Season's 2 episodes are included in Vol. 1 and some of Season 3 is included in Volume 2.

Which makes me want to buy it but then I know a complete series (like Batman TAS) will come out.

I seriously doubt a complete series set would come out. We can't even be sure the whole series will come out in volumes (see Disney Afternoon shows, Gargoyles and The Tick)

I'll be stunned if X-Men doesn't significantly outsell Gargoyles and the Tick. I can't believe Disney would leave that much money on the table by not finishing the series.

Wallopin' Websnappers! The episode list provided above in post #51 means that we are getting approximately the first *2 and a half* seasons in these first two volumes!

Season 1 ends with "The Final Decision" and Season 2 ends with "Reunion Part 2". The final seven episodes on disc 2 of Volume 2 are actually the first seven episodes of season 3.

Woo Hoo! This is awesome news. I can't wait for these to hit the stores.

Re: X-Men(animated) coming to DVD

That's nice of the NTSC DVDs to be more generous with the amount of episodes than the already released UK PAL DVDs...I have the three volumes of the UK PAL X-MEN animated DVDs, but it looks like I'm going to have to pick up just Volume 2. The NTSC Volume 2 DVD has three episodes that are on the last volume of the UK PAL DVD, which still leaves 14 new episodes released on dvd! yay!

Does anyone know if these new DVDs are getting the same good DD 5.1 audio treatment as on the UK PAL DVDs?

I too have been waiting for this for years and years...any years but not really impressed. Not sure why they can't just release them as seasons, good enough for now and happy they finally got the wheels rolling :)

Been hoping the series would eventually be released. I remember looking forward to Saturday's every week because of the show. I also remember sitting around crazed out of my mind when it was first supposed to launch, and we only got the 2-part opener and didn't get the actual weekly series for 3-4 months after :p

Um, you do realize that these volumes are still chronological episodes, right? They are just featuring MORE than a season in each volume.

hrm...better..kinda weird looking Phoenix there..

Re: X-Men(animated) coming to DVD

Much better.

I'm thinking they'll need just two more volumes, a second wave. It must have a little more episodes per disc, because if Volumes 3 and 4 contain the same amount of episodes, there will be left out the entire 10-episode Season 5, which, maybe could be released on a single-disc Volume 5, but that seems weird.

Re: X-Men(animated) coming to DVD

MUCH BETTER artwork. I don't really see the need for the "featuring [insert ep title here]" at the bottom of the volume tag, but eh, not a big deal. CAN'T WAIT for this!

I'm digging the new artwork as well. Just hope that picture and audio are up to par.

Re: X-Men(animated) coming to DVD

I'm on the fence.

I loved this show as a kid. I have wanted it to come onto DVD for a long time and it would be great to finally have them. However, I am worried that they either won't release all of the episodes or that they will eventually release a complete series set.

I'll probably get them though just because I'd really like to re-watch them as soon as possible.
