+2

If you read the comments on the link I posted, the artist mentions that there's "another superhero project coming up". Maybe Spidey's next perhaps{hopefully}?

I really wouldn't mind seeing Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends, either, although I'm not sure who holds the rights to that one.

All kinds of Marvel animation(including Spider-man and His Amazing Friends) are available in Region 2.

I believe ABC/Disney does own the Amazing Friends as well but who knows if they'll ever actually release it on DVD?

There's a little matter of that pesky Red Skull episode full of Nazi symbolism that they never want to show on TV anymore.

The set I have of the series (with most of the episodes taken off of ABC Family) has that episode but its like a copy of a copy with the bad look to it.

But that's the only way to get it nowadays.

Well the X-Men volume 5 will have Red Skull and Nazi Symbolism too...wonder if that'll be an issue? I don't think so...the X-Men show kinda had free rein for what it was. Of course...Did Logan ever chomp on a cigar in the cartoon?

Well, except for the Region 2 set.

As for rights, it's believed that Disney has the rights to all Marvel animation pre-2000 (ie before X-Men Evolution), with the exception of the 1967 Fantastic Four and The Thing from Fred and Barney Meet The Thing.

So maybe they'll release it. Maybe. But then again, I'm never surprised when anything is actually released outside of Region 1.

If they do, I'll certainly buy it again for better quality.

I've been checking TVShowsOnDVD almost every day since they showed the first look artwork for X-Men Volume 5, and I was very happy to see today that it has an official release date. I'm also happy to see Iron Man getting a release. I hope Disney keeps putting out Marvel animation on DVD. Put it all out!

/\ I haven't picked it up yet, but I do plan on it

 for them completing the series, and releasing Iron Man, as well

Now, somebody just needs to get on the Spider-Man Fox '90s series and Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends

Available in Region 2(UK). They just released Spider-man Unlimited ,also. Also available the complete series of Spider-Woman. I just started watching Fantastic Four(1978) and its unquestionably the worst superhero animated tv series ever.

I picked up Volume 5 this week. For those that have it, is anybody else having delayed loading times when picking an episode in the episode selection area? When I pick an episode, it seems to take quite a bit before the episode starts to play. Also, when I hit menu while watching an episode there is a longer delay than usual to go back to the menu. It shows the freezed up screen shot for a bit. Both discs do this in both DVD players I have.

I'm still waiting for a Complete Series boxset before I pickup X-Men. I really do want to support the show I just want it all in one package.

Highly doubt Disney would do that.

I'm using PS3 and I've had no issues with long delays at all. I did nearly break my remote pounding "next" and "menu" trying to get through the absurd amount of previews and warnings on the disc. There was at least 3 different style FBI warnings, warnings about the warnings, multiple previews, warnings about the content of the commentaries (which this disc, of course, doesn't have), so on and so forth.

Im waiting as well. Disney touted that the sales were better than Batman TAS, so im hoping they want some more.

Watch Captain America, Iron Man, etc, from the 60s.

Almost finished watching volume 5..... I'm on the 2nd disc.... has anyone else had trouble with the episode "Descent"? It keeps freezing up during play, all throughout the episode.... impossible to watch, really..... this is the only episode with problems so far (and only 2 more left). Anyone else run into this problem? Disc looks good, by the way.... no visible scratches or imperfections at all.
