Nice. 2 disc of random episodes can join the Spider-Man discs of random episodes Disney released.

There's no proof yet these are random episodes.

Re: X-Men(animated) coming to DVD

If they were just random episodes, I doubt they'd release 2 2-Disc Sets.

I'm almost betting it's Season 1 and Season 2. Just listed as Volumes instead.

Re: X-Men(animated) coming to DVD

i was SO EXCITED when i got the e-mail from tvshowsondvd announcing these. i figured these were just gonna be the same as the R2 sets, but i'm glad to hear that they're 2-disc sets each, which will hopefully mean there's the possibility that they'll be the full 13-ep season sets.

the only thing i'm not too excited about is the cover artwork. looks thrown together and doesn't really look like animation in the cartoon. but eh, i don't really care since they're FINALLY releasing something

Re: X-Men(animated) coming to DVD

I never watched much of this show when I was a kid (I loved Spider-Man though) but if these 2 releases are the first two seasons I'll be buying them.

If this is indeed S1 and S2, in order, I'm so all over these babies!

Re: X-Men(animated) coming to DVD

I'm all over these! This show has been number one on my most wanted list for a long time. And hopefully this means the 90's Spidey show will be released at some point, too.

I'm with Binks on this. You don't go to the effort of releasing 2-disc volumes of random episodes. I know it is Disney we're talking about but let's give them the benefit of the doubt. I think when they see how well these will sell, they will get Spidey off the chopping block and hopefully start getting it out to the hungry fanbase. I'm givin this the banana dance

Hopefully these are uncut...I remember the Spidey sets (the random ones) missing some bits here and there.

Re: X-Men(animated) coming to DVD

I wouldn't be surpirised if they're edited. Even if they are, I'll still buy them, because if there's any chance this will help get Spidey TAS on DVD, I'll jump all over it.

So where are Cable and Scott's legs at? Rob Liefelds son must have drawn those.

Re: X-Men(animated) coming to DVD

Buy these so they will continue and I can wait for the series set to come out and get that (because I am no longer interested in being inevitably ripped off by buying TV shows by the season/volume).

Considering how "amateur hour" the artwork for volume 2 is, I wouldn't be surprised.

Maybe they can enlist poor Dreamer and establish The Summers' Academy for Exceptionally Legless Characters.

(also, I wouldn't be surprised if Rob himself did those covers)

I don't normally put a lot of faith that the amazon run times are always 100% accurate but seeing Volume 1 with a running time of 368 minutes and volume 2 having a 391 minute run time just makes me feel like this might be something I can really buy.

Don't think I'll ever get over that.

Fans of the show were one volume away from having all the good episodes on DVD. Maybe I'm in the minority, but I didn't like "The Goliath Chronicles" at all.

Re: X-Men(animated) coming to DVD

By the way, if anyone wants a nice, high-quality mp3 of the X-Men Animated theme, the original composer (Shuki Levy) has it up at his website:
