Just pre-ordered the 1st volume of the WrestleMania Anthology, I was originally gonna get them as Tagged Classics but it works out cheaper this way.. I'll get the 2nd volume with 6-11 and then 11/12/13/14 on Tag Classics. Got the original WM15 DVD and got the WM2000 Tag Classic DVD on pre-order so should be good. Anyone got a list of the things they edit? Thanks :)

For edits, i know themes like Steamboat, Bossman, Slick, Koko B. Ware, Demolition were edited with generic music. Also the Piper's Pit on WM V is edited; basically when Roddy is dealing with Brother Love, it immediately cuts to him talking to Morton Downey Jr. So you won't see Roddy pulling Brother Love's skirt off and humiliating him.

WM11 also removed the Salt N' Pepper performance.

Of course WWF is bleeped out. Everything else seems to be their original broadcasts, it was really cool seeing the original openings to WM4 and 5 where Mean Gene says "The World Wrestling Federation...What the world is watching".

I'm pretty sure those have been changed too, as the original voiceover actualy said "WWF" not "World Wrestling Federation".

Yes, the Wrestlemania intro's have been altered. Compare and contrast from youtube:

What are the edits from the original airings to the Mania DVDs? NON-Anthology, Manias 15-24, anyone know?

I definitely know for a fact one of my favorite all-time moments was deleted.

When Mickey James gave the V sign and stuck her tounge out during her match with Trish. CLASSIC. :)

I instantly became a Mickey James fan.

WM 19 Michaels vs Jericho

There was a flub in the live match where Shawn goes over the top and hangs on waiting for Chris to walk into his head scissors and out to the floor. When it was live Jericho kinda waited a bit and Shawn yelled "Come on!". They cut that out for the DVD. :)

billboard top 10 sports dvd latest list
starrcade-STILL NUMBER 1 IN ITS 4TH WEEK

legends of wrestling collection that was released AFTER the starrcade dvd is not even on the top 10, this should put all the people saying wcw dvds will not sell as good as wwe dvds to rest
this proves wcw dvds will sell not only just as good but maybe better than most wwe dvds, and starrcade is not even the best dvd they could do for wcw

but i got a question about wrestlemania's blue ray release
i see there are 2 versions to get, 3 disk regular dvd, and the 2 disc blue ray, wil lthe blue ray still have all the stuff that the 3 disk dvd, can blue ray disks fit more onto there's or whats the deal, how did last years mania blue ray work?

heads up to everyone here, circuit city now has 50% off on dvds.including wrestling dvds.

i picked up the definitive ric flair collection and the legacy of stone cold steve austin for only $11 each.alot of the wrestling dvds were scattered in the action/drama section.i dont know if they did that on purpose or if people were trying to hide them.

anyways how are they?cant wait to watch them.

The features on the Blu-Ray for last year were the same as on the standard DVD, it just only needed to be two disc due to the insane amount of space on a Blu-Ray disc.

In 20, Victoria's music was changed, Ultimo Dragon's slip was cut. In 22, Rey's botched 619 around the post was cut.

Noooooooooooo! They cut Ultimo Dragon's fall?

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume IX

Also on WM XIX, they cut to a different angle on the DVD when Victoria's tights were pulled down - revealing her butt crack.

I have a question: how rare/sought after is the version of the "TNA Cross the Line" 3-pack with Booker T on the cover? I've seen the AJ version, never seen the Christian version, and was wondering about the other. Any info?

It sucks that the Legends DVDs didn't sell better. I would have loved the entire series on DVD with bonus matches

I'd guess the pricing probably turned some people off.

Most wrestling fans don't want to buy DVDs with wresters talking to each other.

ShadyLPete 02-21-09 08:17 AM

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume IX

Most casual wrestling fans would never buy a shoot interview, so they'd never buy the roundtables. WWE probably added the bonus matches as an incentive to buy it.
