This is kind of a strange question to ask, but is the full frontal male nudity in both cuts or just the unrated? It might help identify which version I have.
I'm unsure about that, since I never saw the opening sequence in R rated form yet. I first saw the film heavily cut on TNT Monstervision back in the 90's. Then I saw the R version on Showtime years ago, but I missed the opening sequence. Then somehow had posted the UR version on youtube(now taken down), and I got checked out the opening scene and other scenes to see what they were like uncut.

I don't remember the R version that well, aside from an obvious cut during the' beer can' scene. Other than that, I don't know if there was that much added to the other scenes, but there probably was. The electrocution scene I'm sure was a bit longer, but nothing really stood out to me.

Another way to tell which version you have on VHS is the color of the box. The R rated had a red box and the unrated had a black box. Also Vestron would put "R-rated edition" or "Unrated-Edition" on the side of the box, though that is easy to miss.

The Lionsgate cover from what's posted online has the black cover artwork. But you can't trust them in this case. Since they did release Return of the Living Dead 3 in R rated form using the more explicit unrated version artwork. So basically, someone will have to risk buying/renting(if possible) this dvd to report which version it is.

Worth a rent, for sure ... Blair's still pretty cute in it ...
For me, even today, it gets me laughing my ass off, especially...

But yeah, 16x9 or no sale.

Was Slaughter High filmed in widescreen? By the way the sets were arranged--or rather, by the way the lockers were setup by the students' wildly fluctuating height--it seems that they weren't prone to spending money wisely on the production.

Whoa- that YouTube clip is squeezed so it probably came from a 16x9 transfer.

Re: Lionsgate "Lost Film Collection"

This is the one part I distinctly remember about Repossessed:

<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/Wc68rwiPZDo&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/Wc68rwiPZDo&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

And as blatantly unfunny as it is, it's still funnier than anything Jason Friedberg or Aaron Seltzer can ever come up with.

Well it looks like Slaughter High is Full Frame only. I'm happy Hiding Out is Anamorphic but have a bad feeling that the rest of these will not be.

Re: Lionsgate "Lost Film Collection"

I'm posting my "Irreconcilable Differences" review later tonight, but it is an AWFUL 4x3 that is clearly just captured from a VHS copy-- it even begins and ends with that cheeseball 80s "Vestron Video" logo. Ian's "Slaughter High" review (http://www.dvdtalk.com/reviews/36861/slaughter-high/) indicates the same quality. It looks like "Hiding Out" is the only one that's got an image worth a fuck-- because they just reused Anchor Bay's 2001 transfer.

Re: Lionsgate "Lost Film Collection"

My Best Friend Is A Vampire will be only Full Screen. What a joke! Lions Gate would've been better off keeping this "lost" if they weren't even going to bother to release it in Widescreen. Looks like Hiding Out is the only one worth getting out of this "lost" collection.

Why am I not remotely surprised?

Re: Lionsgate "Lost Film Collection"

So it's basically just like Paramount's I Love The 80s collection except at least for that you got old DVD masters, not VHS masters...
