Will we ever get the Eyes Wide Shut lost commentary track?

Sydney Pollack's passing a few months ago got me thinking again about how there was supposed to be a commentary track on the new edition of Eyes Wide Shut with him and a historian (Peter Loewenberg). After advertising it for months, it was left off the disc with no explanation.

Does anyone know if this track was actually recorded, and if so, does anyone know why it was removed from the disc?

Any chance it has been leaked online or anything? I've been Googling it and can find no information about it.

Hadn't heard of this before, but it would definitely be something I'd want - let's hope it surfaces!

This should be a poll.

A. - Kubrick and Pollack did the commentary before they died.

B. - They are just "mostly" dead and still working on it.

C. - Twikoff should do the commentary.

It's not an urban legend. The commentary was advertised on official sources as a special feature on the disc for months before the release. I remember seeing it on Warners official Kubrick site, as well as Amazon, etc. About a week or two before the actual release, it disappeared from the publicity without explanation. This omission was commented on DVD news sites before the release and mentioned in reviews after the release.
