Unless you're sending the file by Morse code, it shouldn't take that long. My 500+ list was only 69kb, and the upload was almost instantaneous.

Hi all...
Have any of you been using Glyde?
With the holidays and all, I've gotten distracted and haven't really done anything with my account recently. Just wondering how everybody likes it so far.
I hope to work on my collection tonight.

I'm using it. I've also talked to Salo and given him some feedback on things for the site. He seems like a pretty cool guy.

Thwarting the DVD Talk censor is grounds for suspension. You have no idea what the background is in these matters and you have no right to take it upon yourself to overrule what has been decided not to be displayed on this site. People spamming their sites here is one reason they were removed.

I try to use Glyde, but every time I try I run into a bunch of shit that it doesn't have. Most of the books I have are Graphic Novels (most of which aren't listed) most of the CDs are of the Black/Death Metal variety (most of which aren't listed) and quite a few of the DVDs are different region/Exploitation type films that aren't listed.
Very nice layout, though.

I am sincerely BUMMED!
I stopped entering my DVDs into my DVDProfiler account quite a while ago because I never used it and for some reason, it never sized right to my monitor. It was a big pain in the rump. Now, I guess I'll have to go crawling back. I really dislike DVDAF.
Seriously... I am sincerely bummed!

Re: DVD Spot Shutting Down
I think we need a thread dedicated to the Pros and Cons of DVD Aficionado and DVD Profiler, because looking at them both they are entirely different than DVDSpot and I can't bring myself to pay for DVD Profiler unless I know for sure I will like it. Anyone that uses (or has used) both care to give input?

Apparently CNET has something to do with this. I don't know much, but according to what the moderators and users on the DVDSpot Forum, the creator of DVDSpot sold it to CNET back in 2006, and for whatever reason they are now shutting it down. I would GLADLY pay a one-time fee to keep using DVDSpot.

Re: DVD Spot Shutting Down
I always preferred DVDAf because of the simplicity, it's a LOT quicker to add titles, and had a more varied database (I've only had to contribute 1 title). I haven't updated Spot in quite some time and I'll miss its more robust filters and easier star-rating setup, but talk about melodrama. :P

You can't search for "by the gun" as the search engine strips out any common articles like 'by' or 'the', leaving thousands of results for gun.

I appreciate the kind words. Hopefully some of the other editors from DVDSpot who are also members here will also read your post (and my original post) and see how appreciated they were, b/c there were others who did a lot more than me, especially in the last 6-8 months.

All the Harry Potter movies aren't there and there's some WDW DVDs I had that aren't there and neither is Die Fledermaus which I ordered from Amazon.
