That's definitely too long. Something's wrong.

Unless you're sending the file by Morse code, it shouldn't take that long. My 500+ list was only 69kb, and the upload was almost instantaneous.

Ya. I don't get it. I am currently using DVDPedia but that is not an online application and am trying to export my collection but for some reason, no matter what I try, Glyde seems to not recognize even one title so I assume I am not exporting the titles right. The only thing it yields for me is a .rtf file and that is not recognized by Glyde....anybody else have success importing from their Pedia to Glyde?

Thanks...

Hi all...

Have any of you been using Glyde?

With the holidays and all, I've gotten distracted and haven't really done anything with my account recently. Just wondering how everybody likes it so far.

I hope to work on my collection tonight.

I'm using it. I've also talked to Salo and given him some feedback on things for the site. He seems like a pretty cool guy.

Thwarting the DVD Talk censor is grounds for suspension. You have no idea what the background is in these matters and you have no right to take it upon yourself to overrule what has been decided not to be displayed on this site. People spamming their sites here is one reason they were removed.

Re: DVD Spot Shutting Down

I try to use Glyde, but every time I try I run into a bunch of shit that it doesn't have. Most of the books I have are Graphic Novels (most of which aren't listed) most of the CDs are of the Black/Death Metal variety (most of which aren't listed) and quite a few of the DVDs are different region/Exploitation type films that aren't listed.

Very nice layout, though.

Seriously... I am sincerely bummed!
I really dislike DVDAF a lot. It doesn't have all the movies on there that I have. I really like DVDProfiler and I didn't mind paying the money.

Anyone that uses (or has used) both care to give input?
I like Profiler way better than Afinionado. A lot of the movies I have aren't even on there. All the Harry Potter movies aren't on there or others. For me it's Profiler.

That's how it is with DVD Profiler.

I hate DVDAF as a lot of the DVDs I have aren't on DVDAF.

I've never understood this, DVDAf can be updated by the users and whenever I look for something, I'm always amazed at the number of bizarre titles that come up. What kind of titles are missing?

I get hopeful for a DVDSpot return, then cry every time this thread gets bumped.

It misses a fair amount of music-related video releases, for one. The search engine is a real problem, especially as movie naming trends continue to move towards shorter titles.

You can't search for "by the gun" as the search engine strips out any common articles like 'by' or 'the', leaving thousands of results for gun.

Same here. Having all of my stuff uploaded to a Google Docs file just isn't the same.

DVD Profiler has 6 regions. It's a pay site and you have to download it and you can't add to it on the web but you still have access to it if the internet ever goes down.

All the Harry Potter movies aren't there and there's some WDW DVDs I had that aren't there and neither is Die Fledermaus which I ordered from Amazon.
