Sounds interesting. This is one of my favorites, so if the new edition proves worthy I'll gladly double dip.

I'll double dip even if it's not released on Blu-ray.

Damn. I wish too. I am already Double Dipping on Touch Of Evil even though there isn't a Blu release. Don't think I can do it for the Hitchcocks coming out too even though I sold off my old set expecting an HD DVD release. Jokes on me!

Wish the studios would get with it.

"Centennial" Collection

Does that mean there will be 100 spine numbers?

"Spine numbers".

Two of the most dreaded words an OCD collector can hear.

This is another classic I have been meaning to get. I saw it for the first time last November and loved it. End of the year is starting to look rather costly.

Well, Paramount's 100th anniversary is in 2012. Maybe they'll get to 100 by then.

Count me in as one whose current edition is good enough until the BD is released.

Love this movie but might also wait for a BD release. I'll wait for specs first before making a decision.

I'm sorry, I'm responsible for these. I recently broke down and purchased all three of these titles. Since I was apparently the last hold out, that triggered the cogs of industry to churn out new editions immediately.

That "Paramount in the 50's" featurette sounds interesting. These extras look good enough for me to safely double dip.

Impressive list of extras for Sunset Boulevard. Still not sure if I'm going to double dip, but it looks like the decision will be tougher than I thought.

Paramount in the 50's is currently available on many Paramount DVDs of movies friom the fifties including the current Sunset Blvd, Sabrina, and Funny Face.
Really just a promo for the DVDs.

Sunset Blvd was restored for the current DVD release. Scanned onto a computer and then converted back to film. They showed the restored film at MOMA prior to the DVD release. I doubt it will look any better in another SD release. Double dip only if you can't live without the extras.
