Practically all the Little Rascals worth owning in 2 sets, high quality 3 Stooges, Popeye... it's been a great year for 20's and 30's classics on DVD.

Now if only someone would remaster Chaplin's Keystone comedies...

Does anyone know if these are subtitled in English? As I've become older my ears are starting to go to pot. Subtitles allow me to understand the dialogue more. Thanks.

Chronological order too, outstanding... Chaplin Keystone's woud be cool, but I'd rather see Laurel & Hardy issued in R1 in chronological order ala the Netherlands Universal and not scatter-shot + half-assed like the more common UK sets.

Bill Cosby is going to be PISSED!

Will probably buy but I might wait for some reviews first. Unless, there a great deal someplace.

If the quality is up to snuff ala the Stooges sets, I'm definitely in.

I don't care how bad others think the MGM shorts are, I still want them.

I'm wondering why Leonard Maltin isn't involved with this project. He wrote the definitive book about the Rascals.

Also FYI: Tom Hatten who's introducing disk 2, isn't known outside Los Angeles where he was (is?) the host of KTLA channel 5 broadcasts of classic movies and Saturday morning cartoons. (I don't live in LA anymore, so I'm happy to see that he's still around)

But if you wait about 2 weeks you can catch it on that famous online 20% off sale that we are not supposed to talk about in this forum until it happens.

Nope. Can't wait. 20% off is based on an assumption not a guarantee. Price for the set may go up too. Plus I have a $20.00 gift card that expires on Oct 31st that I have to use.

I've got other purchases in mind if 20% happens though
