I was hoping Bestbuy Canada would get the SD DVD release bust, but from the latest flyer, it looks like just the Blu-Ray.. Strange as Indiana Jones 4 will have the crystal skull bust in DVD and Blu-Ray flavours..

$19.99 for the 1-disc release? Thats insane... why are they promoting it like its such a good deal? ONE DAY ONLY? who cares... 20 bucks shouldnt be the release week price of a one-disc DVD anymore.

I was talking to the girl at FYE while reserving my SteelBook today and she said that the packaging is supposed to have some sort of lenticular affect with the eyes.. they go "on and off". She said that's what she heard from her manager, but I have no confirmation.

And in a couple years (or less) it'll be down there with the $8 DVDs.

Yeah.. Those are the prices we have to deal with here in Canada.. Some stores might have a $18.XX CDN first day release sale, but $19.XX CDN is the norm..

In a month or so, I won't be surprised to see it as a 2 for $30 title..

Futureshop is having a 10% after hours sale.. The steelbooks are going out fast, but if you pre-ordered before, you can call CS to adjust the DVD steelbook to $24.29 CDN and the Blu-Ray steelbook to $26.99 CDN..

Thanks for the tip...I just called them now. I didn't know I could do that. I actually got 10% off $28.99 even though the price when they shipped it was $26.99 (Steelcase DVDs).

Well I got the 2 disc Blu Ray today (early UK import).

Slid it gingerly into the player, and went to the scene where he rescues the families...and yes, I agree withe the reviews on here that it is reference quality. Pic is pin sharp, and great use of the surrounds.

When a film looks and sounds this good, frankly I would not care if it came in a brown paper bag.

The special/bonus features are what I'm most interested in for this DVD. [And I don't have a Blu-Ray player.] So what store should I get it from? I'm thinking Target.

A steelbook is just a case, right? I'd prefer not to go all the way to f.y.e. tomorrow, so I'm just curious if that is indeed what it is.

Thanks for confirming.

I know I've seen lenticular packaging before, obviously, but not lenticular SteelBooks. I dunno.

I called Best Buy to see how many special editions they would be getting in and the girl that answers the phone said that media knows how many but that it is a secret. She wouldn't even let me talk to them. I hate the new system where they have someone answer the phone trying to help all customers. Lame!!!

My Best Buy is the WORST with customer service. It takes me at least 6 calls (not rings mind you, actual separate calls) until someone picks up the phone.

Just got back from bestbuy. I say about 15 peolple waited to get there Iron man Movie. The cashiers didnt know what the hell to give to the the customers if you were buying the dvd gift set or the regular edition. It also ranged up as 44.99. I told the girl iits listed at 39.99. she then asked another cashier who didnt know either. Then the other girl said, oh yeah, its not in the system yet until tomorrow morning. So they put it in for 39.99 for the gift set. Got this tube also. It has nothing inside like a poster or anything so dont get to excited. Got my XL t-shirt, which I will never wear and left. someone said to the employee are they going to this also for the indiana jones set too? the guy laughed and said I don't think so.

well I have to get up early to get the exclusive for target too. Here are a few pics so you guys can see how big the bust is. its pretty smaller than I thought. I got the slideshow gift card inside the box. So happy hunting for Tony Stark tomorrow, good luck~

Aww...man. I totally forgot some Best buys were doing that. Not sure if there were any near me or not.

Is the DVD individually wrapped, good enough for gift giving?

Can you tell us if the sideshow gift card requires a minimum purchase and if it is in the actually dvd case or outside?

I looked at the sight and even though $50 is pretty good it doesn't go very far there. What do you think of the bust?

I'll probably be getting this and the steelbook and maybe target and sort the whole thing out later.
