Where is everyone planning on picking this up at? With all the exclusives, I'm curious what the most "in-demand" will be. I myself am going with Target because I simply cannot pass up that Collectible Blu-ray case.

I plan on picking up the FYE steelbook 2disc standard version and getting the Target Blu-ray 2disc package. So happy that Target opens at 8am and FYE at 10am, gives me time for some breakfast in between.

This isnt a bad idea. I wouldnt mind also having the DVD Steelbook. I may do the exact same thing.

I've got a friend getting me the blu ray steelbook from futureshop and I'm gonna get the best buy set with the bust too.

exactly my plan. well, replace blu-ray with standard mask packaging.

If they don't sell the DVD Gift set at Best Buy you American's are getting here, I'll have to buy the Blu-Ray gift set and maybe the Future Shop steelbook and combine them. I'd rather not though, that's going to be an expensive hybrid package.

I saw this at Best Buy (44th Street & 5th Avenue, NYC). Iron Man Midnight release party. Check your stores to see if they are doing a similar event.

I refuse to pre-order things, so I'll be going to FYE at around 10:15 a.m. after I get out of class, hoping they still have a few SteelBooks left. I'll probably also get the Standard Two-Disc Edition as I have the Comic Con Lenticular Cover that matches it; but I may not pick this up until the DVD goes on sale for much cheaper. The Target package is tempting too; I might just check it out and make a decision after seeing it in person.

My plans for the 30th:

* Hit Futureshop to get the Blu-Ray and DVD steelbook
* Hit Bestbuy to get the bust (will pass if the Blu-Ray is the only one they got, don't need 2 copies for a medium I can't play yet)

Drive down to WA
* Hit FYE to get my steelbook pre-order (I pre-order before the Futureshop version was announced)
* Hit the Target in the same mall for their DVD mask edition
* Hit Bestbuy to get the bust with DVD (assuming the Bestbuy Canada doesn't have it)
* WalMart for the single disc + bonus disc (don't care for the fanboy comic)
* Hit Blockbuster to look at the 3D cover, but probably wait until I get home to get it at Blockbuster Canada..

Yeah.. I'm going all out for this release..

Best Buy Canada only has the one bust (helmet) for sale. What other bust are you referring to?

Just hoping the standard DVD giftset will be a late solicitation as the Indiana Jones giftset w/ the crystal skull now is listed on Bestbuy Canada in standard DVD and Blu-Ray..

Though, I'm going with a friend who looks down on my exclusive buying.. He'll probably talk me out of getting a couple of these releases..

Hasn't anyone heard about the BD copy of Iron Man being recalled??

My friend sent me this e-mail:

Also, the Best Buy website has totally removed Iron Man on BD from their site.

There was a recall, but it is solved now, and it won't effect the street date.

The official word on the Iron Man BD is in from Paramount. The discs that will be available on street date at your local retailers WILL be fixed and working fine, so no worries. We're also told that because the discs will be corrected by street, there will be no need for any kind of exchange program. Just so you know.
