Damn -- didn't realize the attachments would get microsized....here's some in-line images instead. I'll try and post pics from the family room later and the basement home theater after the projector is installed next week. Until then hope everyone is having a happy holiday.

My JVC RS10/HD350 was installed today with a nice 110" screen. Random pics are below.

Damn, next time leave what's in the bottles in the bottle before taking the picture ;)

That wall you have must be huge considering the 110" screen looks so tiny! Very clean looking, though I'd probably paint the white plugs (less distracting glare). I'm jealous of the look. Very sweet!

The liquor tastes so sweet on my lips though.....I'll take some pics later this week -- after I have a couple Mojitos in me :) Thanks for the feedback -- I'll see if I can get wife approval for the painitng. She's given me tentative permission for a SVS subwoofer -- not sure if that would be pushing my luck..

I love it tdoane78! It will be quite a few years before I have a home big enough to do what you've done but you're living my dream. Keep us updated on seating, decor etc. I take it you had the home built. What I'm really curious about is did you pick a pre-existing home plan or did you specify to the builder what you wanted in terms of a home theater and they created a plan for you?

SVS subwoofer, great choice indeed. Have loved my mini "water heater" as I like to call it when people have the WTH look on there face of what is that? Then I make sure to pop in the depth charge scene from U-571 and they are like WOW! Now I just wish I had a dedicated HT room to play it in,then life would be grand. I remember when I first got my SVS about 4 years ago(I have the smallest cylinder) and while tuning it I pulled off about 114dB and shook the door leading upstairs during the THX intro with the exploding ball. That was the last time I played at that level but that is when I knew I purchased the right sub.

I rack mounted all of my equipment of Christmas break finally. Not too much to look at, the first pic is with the door on, second is with it off and the bottom pic is what it used to look like. It's a 5ft Middle Atlantic rack that fits perfectly in the area.

On the huge plus side, I decided I will be buying my own house in April, so expect BIG changes to my home theater by summer's end. I can finally paint, put up curtains on the fornt and sides along with a lot more.

Well, finally got motivated to get up and take a few photos. Upon completion though, it looks like I may need to redo some of them in the future due to lighting and glare here. I also practically missed my receiver completely except in the edge of the first pic. Oh well.

My almost current setup. (There is now a different DirecTV receiver as well as a PS3 added to the mix.)

Part of the DVDs. (A bit dated though, as it's from earlier in 2008.)

It's the one in this thread. http://forum.dvdtalk.com/internation...-digipack.html and

R6 China SE - picked it up in Singapore in 2007.

Very nice collection. There is no such thing as "not much". Not everyone can have a dedicated home theater room with theater seats and a popcorn machine. I have a really nice TV but it's still my family room so there's always something you'd like to change or improve no matter how good it is. And just when you think you're set, a new technology comes out making you start all over.

I'm waiting to see if anyone complains about the wood shelves. I hand made my entertainment center and shelves from maple from scratch and people said I should have painted it black. Again, OK for a home theater room, not Ok for my familyroom. Gotta keep the wife happy too.

I really want to throw up some pics of my stuff...Alot of my stuff is either in piles or boxes now because of space. But there still is a decent amount displayed. How do I put the actual pics on the page in picture form?

Thanks, appreciate it. I meant that my HT setup, such as it is, is super-modest compared to some of the awesome setups one sees on this forum and other places. Sometimes I think I should cut back on buying movies and save up for a new TV/sound system/sofa etc, but I reckon I'm more of a movie collector than a hardcore HTphile, or whatever the appropriate term might be.

Are wood shelves considered 'bad' or somehow undesirable? I'm just curious, I hadn't encountered that sentiment before.
The light wood works out nicely in my space, mostly because it's a very small room and the light colour of the wood and floors (and desk and walls) make the room look a tiny bit bigger.

The black furniture is certainly much more in vogue these days and is better for a dark room environment. Dark objects will tend to appear smaller than light colored objects, however a lot of dark furnishings will darken the room and make that feel or appear smaller.

Ah, that makes sense. My TVs are in the bedroom and living room, and the DVD collection is in another room; I guess that's why the color issue didn't occur to me.

upload them to some site like photobucket and then use the [img] links it provides - copy and paste them right into your message box here (preferably with a line or two between each one).
