Quoting myself on this one, but I'm glad Criterion Collection got the rights for this one! And I'd seriously assume a Blu-Ray for it (since Japan already has it out on BD)

A few weeks back, Turner Classic Movies aired "55 Days At Peking" in HD. It looked really nice with no signs of dirt or scratches. I wonder if the master used was created for the canceled DVD release?

I can't believe that the only DVD of "55 Days at Peking" out there is the sub-par Asian release. The Miriam Collection releases of the Limited Collectors Editions were phenominal. Mom would want you to bring it back, I would think, Weinstein boys.
