Women's Prison Massacre re-issue different than previous release?
So, earlier this month Retro Shock-O-Rama re-released "Women's Prison Massacre" on DVD (in a 2-disc set along with "Caged Women"). Previously, they had released both an R-rated and unrated DVD of the movie.
Does anybody know if the new (3rd) version of the movie is any different than the previous unrated version. The new version says that it is "pre-mastered in 23.98psf hi-definition", while the old version says it's a "brand new telecine from the "uncut" 35mm print". The old (uncut) version lists a running time of 89 minutes, although that is the same running time listed on the heavily cut version.
Anybody know what's up with this re-release?

I was wondering the same thing. I never got around to buying the previous one because I only saw the cut version in stores and I didn't want to risk an online vendor giving me the wrong one. I doubt they bothered doing anything special to this edition besides adding the Caged Women disc, which I'm sure isn't as good as the Shriek Show one anyway.

Both were really crappy FS VHS transfers. This isn't a company that puts too much into its releases.
I'm not defending Shock-O-Rama at all. They obviously just took the earlier VHS tapes from earlier companies for that first DVD release, but they weren't the ones that actually retitled the films.

Yeah, I have both "Gestapo's Last Orgy", which was not easy to come by when it was first released, and "Caligula Reincarnated as Hitler". What a difference! I also own "Amazonia", but haven't watched it yet, so I can't compare it to "White Slave".
Speaking of how hard it was to find when it first came out, I expect Media Blasters to eventually release GLO in a very cheap 3-pack, like they did with their "SS Hell Pack", to further mock me.

Oh, and speaking of "SS Hell Pack"... Was that one of Geoff's prouder moments, to get a call-out to DVDtalk, for a quote for "SS Girls"?
I rarely double dip, especially for the exact same copies of movies which I already own, but I couldn't resist rebuying "SS Love Camp", "SS Girls" and "SS Camp Woman's Hell" once I saw that they were all being bundled together as "SS Hell Pack" for under $20!
