Non-anamorphic Patriot Games in Jack Ryan Triple Feature
I bought the Jack Ryan Triple Feature at WM last night to upgrade my old non-anamorphic transfers. The slipcase box stated all three were 16:9 transfers with DTS sound. When I opened it, I found Hunt for Red October and Clear & Present Danger were but Patriot Games was the old non-anamorphic disc. I'm returning it but I could not find any mention of this on the net. Is this a known error? I thought maybe I could save others the hassle I'll have to go to in returning this.

I'm responsing to a very old post here, but I just bought this used off
Amazon and it's got the same issue. I'd assumed the seller didn't put the right discs in until I did a search on the matter. Kinda disappointed, considering its impossible to find the Patriot Games SE in person around my area.

Interesting. Perhaps this release was a way for them to dump old pressings of the non-enhanced disc? I had the old release of this movie originally, but later bought a four-pack of the Jack Ryan films including The Sum of All Fears, and all the discs were the anamorphic SE versions, but that set is now OOP.
Looking at amazon, there are way too many configurations of these movies on DVD. And in a few weeks a double feature of Patriot Games/Clear and Present Danger is coming out. No mention of which versions are included in that. Too confusing for the consumer.
It seems if someone wants to be assured of getting the anamorphic versions of these titles, the way to go is to buy the SEs separately.
