The "What Did It Cost Me?" Thread

Here's the premise: I was tweaking my DVD Profiler and became aware of how I have no idea what I paid for nearly anything I bought before I began using that program. I'm sure I'm not alone in this, and I'm hopeful that some of our more thorough forum members may be able to provide answers to those of us who have questions.

Mods: Feel free to relocate this thread to a different forum if you feel it more appropriate than this one.

And to get us started, I bought The Lion King Special Edition Collector's Gift Set (the box set with the book and sketch cards) at Wal-Mart. It was released 7 October 2003; I bought it later that week, possibly late on that actual day. Wal-Mart, of course, rarely advertises movies and prices so I'm entirely at the mercy of whatever anyone else can provide here.

According to my DVDProfiler entry, I paid $40 on release day at Best Buy.
