Great idea until that back compartment gets stuck one day and he can't watch the good movies he's hiding back there. Then we will see how "CRAZY!" it is.

The guy has watched 1 too many Jack Black movies, sounds alot like him, by the way there is crap in that collection and Titanic was definately not it, and the shelf i'll pass.

Did anyone else think that the motor was working awfully hard to raise that shelf? It seemed like it was close to the max load that the motor could push, and it looked like he had one more compartment to fill with DVDs.

Yeah, until the secret escalating shelf gets stuck shut, & you have to ask the people who installed it to come over to fix it, where they find your immense amount of hidden-pervy-porn short circuited the elevating system.

wouldn't it just be easier to have two shelves sitting side-by-side instead of having it stick out twice as thick? dunno, seems annoying too to have to wait for the second compartment to lift up as slowly (it wasn't THAT slow, but eh) as it did. would be easier to just open a door and grab a box.
