Since the current release is very bare bones (theatrical trailer only as an extra) this looks like a double-dip that's worth it.

Now if only Warner would follow MGM's example and give us a special edition of Lone Star.

A "featurette thats looks at the 2005 White Sox World Series Championship" ? Why??

Also, are they NOT putting the trailer on this new edition?

It's excellent. IMO, it's Sayles' second best film (Lone Star being his best).

A gift for us long suffering White Sox fans? We'll take anything we can get.

[historylesson] Everyone knows about the "Curse of the Bambino" and the "Curse of the Billy Goat," but relatively less known is the "Curse of the Black Sox." No other professional sport team has lost a championship because players on their team sabotaged the games. Sox fans had to suffer over 87 years until they could hoist the championship again...including a dominating '94 team that didn't get a chance to claim the crown because the strike canceled the series.
It's also another jab at Cub fans who will mark their centennial anniversary of their victory over the Detroit Tigers in 1908 this year. [/historylesson]

Great film regardless if you like the Sox or even baseball.
