Struzan and Amsel are my favorite poster artists. Amsel passed away some time ago. I have a few of his posters in my room. It will be a sad day when Drew goes. Are there any other good poster artists out there? I cant think of any right now?

Anyone know if the B&W version is on the 1st or 2nd disc? I need to get the right one in my Netflix Queue.

evidently Kmart has an "exclusive" the mist beenie.

So is the booklet from boarders exclusive, or just a limited first pressing kind of thing?

If so, does the bext buy set come with the novel and the limited booklet?

Funny you ask that actually, I just stumbled upon this guy a few weeks ago; and I must say that once Struzan retires/dies, Trevor Grove is going to be the man in demand.

He's only 20 or 21, from what I've read, but he's already got a Struzan level of talent. In a year or two I'm hiring him to do a poster for a film I'm shooting now.

If you get the wrong one, you could always just turn the color on your TV down to 0, yeah?

The B&W version was specifically color timed by the makers of the movie, so I'm doubtful that that'd give the same results.

The best buy exclusive does include the booklet.

The book isn't part of the set, it's separate, and they're just shrinkwrapped together.

I don't know... it's a matter of personal taste I guess. I prefer Jason Palmer, but I never seen an official poster for a movie made by him. I think he'll be the next Struzan.

Filmed in Color and desaturated in post.

Circuit City only advertised the 1-disc, but their website has the 2-disc for $19.99, which is the lowest I've seen. I wonder if that's in-store also. Their website doesn't quite match up with pricing as well as Best Buy.

Okay can somebody help me out, what version should I buy? I see all these exclusives and black and white versions and now I am confused. I've never seen the movie but that doesn't matter, I just want to make sure I don't regret what I buy (at least until the BD gets announced the minute after I open it).

My vote is to get the 2-disc from Best Buy with the book. Read the book, watch the movie. The 2-disc comes w/ the B/W version (the director's original intent).

I got it @ CC for $19.99. I don't need the book since I already own it. The beanie is kinda cool, but there isn't a K-Mart anywhere near me I know of.

Wow, this must either be extremely popular, or stores underestimated the demand for the 2-Disc version...

Local Wal*Mart had it for $22.96 with no frills. They had one facing on the shelf with about 6 copies.

Local Circuit City was out of stock.

Local Best Buy had about a dozen copies, but only one left with the book. I purchased the last one with the book...

I have had the audio drama "The Mist in 3-D Sound" on CD for ages, but haven't seen the film yet. I plan to watch the B/W version first.

Just watched the B/W version and I loved it. Not only did it help out the one or two effects that didn't look great in the color version, it gave the movie a whole different feel. I definitely prefer this version (even though I really liked the original version too.)

Purchased this yesterday for $22.99 at Best Buy with the free book.

I am looking forward to checking out the black and white version. Is that the only difference with that version and the theatrical one?

Watched the black and white version last night and it was extremely effective. The cgi effects were more creepy and enjoyable.
