Are MGM Decades Collection titles Anamorphic?

I am wondering if these titles are anamorphic as it is not listed as so on the covers ie. "12 Angry Men" is only listed as 1.66 : 1. Any one know the facts on these

I was wondering the same thing, hoping to replace my 12 Angry Men with an anamorphic one but... I very much doubt it. Any info here would be great.

Are these the ugly things Wal-Mart has had out for a couple months now? If so I didn't pay much attention, but they just screamed repackaged to me.

Re: Are MGM Decades Collection titles Anamorphic?

Just got a Mad Max Decades Collection from oldies for 2.98.

Was trying to determine if this was a repackaged SE or repacked barebones. According to DVD Compare.net, the barebones is non-anomorphic WS, but the SE has FS and WS. This lists WS and FS, but no special features. Does anybody know for sure?

BTW, DVD Compare does not seem to keep up with all releases. Either they gave up or it's just not up to date. But I have notice this on several occarsions.

the se has ws and fs and also has the aussie soundtrack that the original verison also doesn't have (the studio at the time thought it be better to dub american actors to hide the accents.

Also i'm wondering if the most recent Raging Bull 1 disc is anamorphic or not?

The Mad Max SE was a flipper, so it sounds like this is the movie side of the flipper.

Re: Are MGM Decades Collection titles Anamorphic?

Got the Fiddler on the Roof decades edition last year. Open it up to watch it today, and find pretty much my first ever disc problem.

It is a two disc case and has the 70s decade bonus music CD, and disc two (special features) of the movie, everything I expected/paid for except for the movie itself. Great. Too late to return it to the store of course, but I imagine that MGM will help me out. Vaguely recall reading about this happening on some of these other decade edition repackagings.
