I don't understand why after spending all that time waiting for each season to be released and then spending the money to buy each one. It's been about 3 years since Seinfeld first came to DVD and I'm happy with what I have and will be happy when I get Season 9 to complete the series.

I'm always a sucker for exclusive packaging, but I'm not too into that refrigerator. To me, the box looks better by itself then housed in that huge refrigerator. The refrigerator did seem to be of pretty decent quality when I held it at Best Buy (very heavy). I just didn't know where I'd put it. I would've just ended up taking the normal box out and sticking the refrigerator in the closet...

I already had S1-6 anway. So I just got 7 and 8 at Best Buy for $17 each (essentially what I'd paid for the others with B1G1). So at $17 per set, that is a lot cheaper than this complete set. I'll get S9 when it gets cheaper. Not going to watch the extras anyway - want the episodes so I don't feel bad about passing on this.

FWIW, this dvdverdict.com review of the complete series set http://www.dvdverdict.com/reviews/se...leteseries.php says that the roundtable discussion on the bonus disc is a letdown:
"The ballyhooed roundtable reunion with Jerry Seinfeld, Jason Alexander, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Michael Richards and Larry David was surprisingly short and shallow. A potentially great retrospective (considering the rumors of the tenuous relationships of the cast following the show's dissolution) that falls short…kind of like the finale."

I’m a newbie Seinfeld fan (used to hate the show) and thanks to a couple of folks here at DVDTalk awhile back I finally re-tried it and I ended up picking up all the DVDs (In the summer) and I now fully understand the brilliance it beholds. I picked up the ninth season DVD today and they only had one copy left by the time I went to Wal*Mart this morning (around 8:00am).
Anyway, I’m just wondering what this rumor is all about. Please don’t make fun of me I live under a cave…

For those picking up the Target set with bonus disc (which is just a "Best of" the bloopers that have been on the previous season sets), you may want to check to be sure the package has the right disc. At lunch I picked up a couple of sets for myself and a friend of mine. While in line I looked at them and noticed one of the sets said Target bonus disc on the front, but on the back it actually said "Includes Wal Mart bonus music CD."

I was at Best Buy this afternoon, I tried to fight the urge but I took the plunge, gorgeous set and worth the price. I also bought each season as they came out, I am going to try to Ebay seasons 1-8 and hope I can re-coup something close to what I paid for the Best Buy set. I have to say it is very BIG.

There are 8 standalone "volumes". Seasons 1 & 2 were combined into Volume 1. 8 x 4 = 32 .

SHACMASTA - I'm sorry to go off topic here. But all I see in the background are awesome gift sets, exclusive sets, etc, and I want to see a picture of all of them, because it looks really impressive from what I could see.
