No, what happened is I ordered the Die Hard 2 steelbook from futureshop and they mailed me a copy before the 20th (I have it on my shelf now) and it's only one disc.
If on the 20th when I go to futureshop and see that their copy of Die Hard 2 is a 2-disc version, I'm gonna bring it up with them why I got a different copy from what's in the store

Can anyone definitively confirm or deny that the Die Hard 2 and Die Hard 3 Steelbooks are in fact the 2-disc SE's as the sticker on the package states?

Yes, they are indeed the old 2-disc SE's. If you own Die Hard in the steelbook there is no point in buying the Best Buy one, it's the same except for the front/back cover. Happy Buying!

My take on the covers is they are average, just decent enough, these are all nice steelbooks to own.

they just don't jive with the original die hard 1 steelbook and certainly do not jive with part 4, but that is meh. i didn't have these SE's and really thought from the cover they were the crappy 1-disc re-issues that came out what a couple months ago? so now i have the set of all 2-discs and that they are steelbooks regardless of covers i am happy.

Oooh... that's great news. Thanks!

I'm definitely in for all 4 of them, then.

While I normally don't do this, I might go ahead and get the steelbook sets of 2 and 3, since they are the 2-disc editions, so that I'll have all 4 movies in steelbook packaging.

the only thing i thought was odd, was there were plenty of 1's and 2's, but 3 was all empty, the girl at BB had to find one in some odd location in hte front and there was only the one left. weird they wouldn't have the same # for 3 as they did the others.

Aside from "Dune" (already mentioned), "This Quiet Earth" is in a one-disc steelbook case.

Theoretically, Dune is not a steelbook, from what I understand, since Steelbook is a company, and the case design for Dune is different (the spine is supposedly much more vulnerable to breaking).

There are 2 versions of Dune. One is Viva, the other is Steelbook. I have seen both and bought the steelbook one from Futureshop.

do you have a pic? i would like to see the differences in the different versions.

do case companies not have to file for copyright of a movie when they are just producing the case for it?

OK, can anyone confirm whether or not *THIS* collection contains Live Free or Die Hard and all the extras found on the original SEs?

anyone who got "Die Hard With A Vengeance" think the snap closure is not as tight as it should be?

I posted this on the other Die Hard thread, but this might be the more appropriate one.

I just bought the Live Free or Die Hard Steelbook and it had no chapter list insert or booklet. It only had instructions for downloading the digital copy and a free movie ticket for Hitman. Did anyone get the regular 2-disc set? Is it missing a "real" insert too?

Also, I'm curious about the Walmart bonus disc. Anyone watch it? What's in the 2 featurettes? The titles aren't very descriptive.

Finally, I have the 3 previous movies from the 5-Star Collection. But I'm thinking of selling them and getting the BB Steelbooks or the Costco set. Has anyone watched their sets? If there is anything at all new (a featurette or trailer), I'd feel alot better about double dipping.

My copy is OK and closes nice and tight. You might have a bad one with a thin plastic tab/clip.

Thanks, I think I'm going to end up buying the steelbooks. They are much nicer than the old 5-star set.
