I'm not sure what's up with all the thread-crapping in this topic. It's a cool set! If you don't want to pay the price, don't.
Also, don't forget that part of the premium that you are paying includes 2 free movie tickets.

I hate when they come out with these ultimate sets to tie in with a new movie in the series! (same as Harry Potter) According to the ad:
So that means it will include a 2-disc version of AVP:Requiem, right?
Wonder if you could sue for false advertising.

So if you have all this like me, your paying $130.00 for the figurines, 2 tickets to see AVP 2, and a comic book.

I picked it up, the figures are pretty sweet.
I won't open it until Jan 31st, just in case the price drops.
I needed one of the sets, and figured I can get $65 for my Quadrilogy and the two Predator releases, so I did the justification math as follows: paid $129 minus $65, minus $15 for the AvP 2 disc, minus $10 for the comic (it's worth to me), so the figures are $40.
Maybe not quite worth it, I'll think about it.

Theyve reduced the prices on their exclusive music sets like rolling stones. It will be awfully hard for them to unload 10,000 sets without a price cut. Those movie tickets will expire at some point too. Their were 10000 planet of the apes monkey head sets and their were price reductions on it to unload inventory and that was in all stores.

Clerks 2 giftset is now $14.99 if I recall.

You're right. Online it shows as $14.99: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....p=1&id=1603098
Also, their Superman Returns exclusive (with the Ultimate Guide to the Man of Steel book) has recently been price dropped to $9.99.

Yeah someone should post pictures. Also, to the guy who said he wasn't going to open it, I can say with confidence it's not going to drop. I work at Best Buy and there are no scheduled price-drops in the computer. If there isn't some special sale when the movie opens then there isn't going to be one.
Also if you don't open it you don't get to use the moviecash. And even if you do open it I don't understand -- you can still pricematch with just the receipt.
