whats the highest price you have seen people pay for this set?

I've seen them go for over $100 on ebay. I know Criterion is putting it out this Dec, but this is the only AB tin I don't own so I'm still trying to hunt down a copy.

yah i've seen 200 a few years back. I would imagine that give it a few months and it will be much cheaper.

I almost bought that tin when it came out. I brought it up to the counter at Tower Records, then put it back because decided I shouldn't be spending the money at that time. Wow, I had no idea it appreciated that much in value. I once rented it because I really like Dennis Wilson, and I still can't figure out what the ending means.

I'm glad I picked mine up, and I just might pick up the Criterion as well in December.

I used to watch that one on ebay a lot just hoping for an auction to drop down in a decent price range, and I've seen a few go in the $250-$300 range probably at its peak. I've seen very many go for well over $100 though. It used to be a given that it'd go for over $100 on ebay. I'm not sure what it draws these days, but I'd also say it'll probably decrease in value dramatically with a new release of it out. People generally only pay that much for things just because they can't attain them any other way. I, however, have seen some films get crappy re-releases that led to the older ones maintaining their value. With the re-release being Criterion though, the Tin going down is pretty much a given unless completists out there decide they want both and still keep the price up. I'd say that's doubtful overall though and especially in the long term.

I saw it at below $50 ... the best suggestion if you want to track how its worth is regularly search its UPC# rather than the title. You will get specific results
