Apparently children under 13 should be prevented from seeing "science fiction".
I think most parents would be more concerned about the "startling images."

haha,Warner is really messing up at the printing press lately!

Here is the actual rating description for Sphere from filmratings.com. Rated PG-13 for sci-fi action including some startling images

I can just imagine what a headache it would be to correct all the files they have stored somwhere with the ratings descriptions! Since now things are mistyped instead of just misfiled in Spheres case.

I do think it would be amusing if they used the wrong description for Natural Born Killers though. Instead of "Rated R for extreme violence and graphic carnage, for shocking images, and for strong language and sexuality". Use another films description with "language" or 'mild thematic elements" or something quite 'harmless' sounding.

OK..I understand there is plenty of room on the Bluray disc, but why is the standard version 2-disc and the bluray is a single disc. I know there are other bluray films released with 2disc version. Why not separate the film from the bonus features?

They don't need to use 2 discs. I believe all of the extras are in standard definition, which really helps with saving space. The whole package was likely done to fit on an HD DVD, so they're really only using up to 30GB of space anyway. When they do titles exclusively for BD, they may use more space for video. Even with a moderately higher bitrate, they probably wouldn't need two discs. Those are mostly for long films and/or those with lots of HD extras.

Sure, the hardcore videophiles would love for them to max out the bitrate and fill up a BD50 with just the film and audio, but it's not really necessary to do that.

Does it come with a slipcase or just a keepcase?

Definitely looks better. Sad to lose the DTS track but I will probably pick up the new one.

I just popped in the new disc last night and the new picture is a worthy welcome. The 5.1 was pretty good and very loud. I would love to have had the old DTS track but this one will do fine since the picture quality is better.

I got the new release today so I wanted to compare soundtracks. While the DD5.1 isn't bad, I'll have to give the nod to the DTS track. A little more omph from the LFE channel and a little more clarity from the center channel. The good news is that they're close enough to be pleased with the new release.

I think I'll keep the old release, snapper and all.
