Has anyone else noticed that UFC 56 has a major flaw in it? At least some of them do? I bought a copy and put it in to watch ( I have been collecting all the events for approx 2 years ) The case and DVD say UFC 56 but it is actually UFC 46 that plays on the DVD. I bought another copy and the same thing ! Bought a third copy ( sucker for punishment ) and finally this one had the correct event on the dvd. Just wondering if anyone else has noticed this?

wasnt the dvd version of his post fight edited for language and when he bashed the sponsor?

Mine that I bought from Big Lots a month ago is fine. Hmmm.

good collections guys, also what ufc event do u think is the all-time best that is on dvd? i need recommendations for good ones when i buy in the future. Thanks

Some of my favourites (sorry this will be a long post :) )

UFC 17 (Williams vs Coleman with the highlight reel head kick KO plus 2 early Dan Henderson fights vs Allan Goes and Carlos Newton, both really good fights)

UFC 22 (Tito vs Frank Shamrock classic main event, plus early Chuck Liddell and Matt Hughes fights and Brad Kohler's awesome KO)

UFC 31 (Full of great fights. Couture vs Rizzo 1 in a 5 round war, Shonie Carter vs Matt Serra with the infamous backfist KO, plus Liddell vs Randleman, Miletich vs Newton, and fights from Semmy Schilt and Matt Lindland. Great card)

UFC 34 (Couture vs Rizzo 2, BJ destroying Caol Uno and Hughes powerbomb on Carlos Newton)

UFC 40 (Original Tito vs Ken grudge match and Chuck's headkick KO of Babalu, really fun card)

UFC 43 (Liddell vs Couture 1 and Belfort putting a 'goat's vagina' on Marvin Eastman's head)

UFC 47 (Chuck vs Tito 1 finally happens, crazy fight with Nick Diaz vs Robbie Lawler, plus Arlovski vs Cabbage and Genki Sudo vs Mike Brown)

UFC 49 (Randy-Vitor 3 isn't that great but the rest of the card delivers big time. Chuck vs Vernon White brawl, great fight with Parisyan vs Diaz and an amazing headkick KO by Yves Edwards on Josh Thomson)

UFC 52 (Chuck vs Randy 2, Hughes vs Trigg 2, GSP vs Mayhem Miller and a surprisingly fun fight with Lindland vs Travis Lutter)

UFC 76 (Chuck vs Jardine, Forrest vs Shogun, Fitch vs Sanchez, Tyson Griffin vs Thiago Tavares, and a great fight with Matt Wiman vs Michihiro Omigawa on the prelims and a highlight reel powerbomb by Jeremy Stephens)

UFC 79 (GSP vs Hughes 3, Chuck vs Wanderlei, Machida vs Sokoudjou)

UFC 80 (Doesn't look that good on paper but its full of great fights and KO's. Penn vs Stevenson is a massacre and Paul Taylor vs Paul Kelly is a war)

UFC 84 (Awesome bunch of fights with some great KO's and subs. BJ Penn, Wanderlei, Tito, Machida, Thiago Silva, Carwin all on one card. A fun scrap between Wilson Gouveia and Goran Reljic on there too)

UFC 91 (Huge main event Couture vs Lesnar plus Florian, Gonzaga and Demian Maia. Only one fight goes to decision and that was a stand up war with Aaron Riley vs Jorge Gurgel. Lots of cool finishes-Jeremy Stephen's famous uppercut on Dos Anjos, Hazelett's wacky sub)

UFC 95 (Again doesn't look great but it was. Only one decision again and full of good fights. Maia vs Sonnen, Marquardt's nifty Street Fighter combo, Kos getting KO'd, Dos Santos vs Struve, Hardy vs Markham)

UFC 100 (Lesnar vs Mir 2, GSP vs Alves, Hendo vs Bisping. FOTN with Akiyama vs Belcher. On the prelims Jim Miller vs Mac Danzig was very enjoyable too)

UFC 102 (Couture vs Big Nog was a classic. Thiago Silva KOing Jardine, Marquardt KOing Maia, Duffee's 7 second KO. Really underrated fight with Evan Dunham vs Marcus Aurelio on the prelims too)

UFC 110 (Nog vs Cain, Wand vs Bisping, Sotiropoulos vs Stevenson was an awesome fight. Soszynski vs Bonnar 1 and Te Huna vs Pokrajac were excellent undercard fights. Plus Cro Cop and Bader are on the card)

UFC 113 (Aside from the disaster that was Kos vs Semtex this was a top notch show. Shogun finally wins the title and KO's Machida, plus Stephens vs Stout, Meathead vs Kimbo. Johny Hendricks vs TJ Grant from the prelims is a hidden gem)

You can't go wrong with UFC's 115-117. 3 really strong cards full of good stuff and exciting fights, upsets, KO's, subs.

I remember reading that before in this thread actually, a few people did have that problem many pages back. Another issue happened with the UFC 50/51 2pack, both discs have UFC 50 artwork on it, but the discs have each individual event on it. I returned 2 of them to the stores until I thought to check out the disc itself LOL

Re: The Official MMA DVD Discussion Thread (UFC/Pride & Other)

Hey all,
Just wanted to post this to see if you have any thoughts on this. A friend of mine gave me 3 copies of the 2003 UFC Ultimate Submissions DVD,that had Ken Shamrock and Frank Mir on the cover. It was never available online or in stores, as they didn't have a distribution deal and it was only available through the Fight Club or apparently thru a UFC infomercial. He told me there was an Ultimate Tank DVD that was also being offered on a similar infomercial, although I've never found it (but I have seen the cover art). Do you think the Ultimate Submissions DVD would be worth me putting on Ebay, or is it not as rare as I am assuming? I realize there have been UK releases, but I thought for collectors like myself they may want to get their hands on a copy just like I would (and I already had my own copy of it).

I also found an extra copy of the Strikeforce Revenge event (Belfort vs Overeem). If anyone would like to see cover art I could post shots later on!

And to sound like a dork (haha), I was excited to finally get a copy of the original release of the Ultimate Iceman DVD, complete with slipcover, in excellent condition. I had been trying to find a copy with a mint cover, which had been next to impossible over the past few years. Now, I need to catch up on TUF Seasons 2-6 and I have for the most part caught up with everything I am after.

Hey Man,

For some reason, I can't seem to send or receive messages anymore. I have no idea why...can you try again? It's like the option is no longer possible...and I can't find anything in my settings. I added you as a friend.

The Ultimate Submissions DVD is all yours, I would be happy with just getting the original price plus shipping for it (so I can buy a dvd I need LOL).

Picked up 123 at Best Buy for 14.99 yesterday. Can you believe Dana White said Machida needs to win his next fight to stay in UFC?

I need to get Ultimate Knockouts 8 on blu-ray, I'm gonna wait a bit til the price drops online before I pick it up, same w/Ultimate Heavyweights blu too.

I can. He's not a draw and very frustrating for the casual fan to watch. Also, Machida needs to come to terms with the fact that he needs to be more agressive when it comes to competing in a 10-9 judging system. If you're gonna lay back for 12.5 minutes and try to finish a fight with a flashy Wand style charge...well bad decisions are gonna continue to happen.

Well his next fight is against Randy, so it could be an easy one for him, unless Randy grinds against the cage for 15 minutes

But that's what Randy specializes in. Did you see his fight against Vera?
Machida doesn't have Vera's Greco-Roman wrestling experience. Could be a long night for him

if Machida loses, he'll have three losses in a row. Former champ or not, that's quite a blemish on his record

Joe Rogan was kind of premature with the "Machida era" idea, huh?

Re: The Official MMA DVD Discussion Thread (UFC/Pride & Other)

Machida error is more like it. IMHO he's lost three fights in a row, not two.

Anyhow, does anybody know if there are any K-1 events on DVD? I know its not exactly MMA but....
