Just back from best buy. Picked up the steelbooks for Die Hard 2, 3 & 4. I figured I'd skip the 1st die hard because I already have the first one in steelbook packaging, which was picked up during the summer steelbook craze of 2007. Even though the cover looked somewhat different, I wanted to make sure and hold off. Well, It is in fact different. I think I'll pass though.

I'm actually considering making this my first Steelbook only because it may better match my Ultimate Collection. I don't like what they did to the slipcover of the standard 2-disk.

That is total promotional fluff. Your better off getting the 2-disc edition with the free movie cash for Hitman and the 1 1/2 hour Making of Documentary.

Plus, Disc 2 alllows you to download a digital copy to your PC.

Has anyone picked up the Costco set? I'd like to see what that looks like.

I love how you can't put this digital copy on your iPod, yet I still have the movie on my iPod anyways.

I love the steelbook from Best Buy. I totally forgot about the Hitman movie cash, and now have a new movie to watch soon

I can't wait to see Xage's post later tonight!

So did anyone else get the Steelbook that had the UPC printed on it? Or am I a rare case?

I got the UPC. You can actually see it on the case without opening the dvd, since the corner extends onto the dvd's spine. I noticed this on several copies in the store, but assumed it was just part of the paper insert.

As has been reported many times, the Costco box set is eight discs. The ONLY 2-disc version of LFoDH is Unrated. Therefore, the box set contains the Unrated version.

So there are copies of the LFoDH Steelbook without the UPC printed on the back? I might have to exchange mine.

I think the poster who said that just got a mistake, basically, seeing as he said the back was "all black" if I remember correctly and everyone else's has artwork.

i know it's been reported many times but from what? assumption? from someone really got one?

Anyway, I got one from costco. the box lists LFoDH as PG-13 ONLY but the included disc is actually the same as the 2 disc collector's edition that has both unrated and PG13 versions. No hitman movie money, though

So it seems every release from around the world is slightly missing something.

The Region 1 misses out on the Gag Reel and the DTS,
The Region 2 UK misses out on the Commentary
The Region 2 Japan misses out on the Commentary and Unrated Cut
The Region 3 misses out on the Unrated Cut and Trailer

If it's not any trouble, can we perhaps have some pictures of the Costco set and if anyone is willing, the Best Buy steelbooks as well? Thanks.

If your referring to my post, It wasn't all black. I said plain back cover, what i meant by plain is it was the same artwork with no UPC or 20th century fox logo on the back. Seems like this must be a rare missprint. Dammit LOL! If that first disc wouldn't have been loose and scuffed up! Too bad I had to exchange it for a new one.

There was a costco adsheet posted several pages back that touted it as an eight disc set right next to the Unrated 2-disc set. The ad was basically a big GET UNRATED UNCENSORED DIE HARD AT COSTCO OR IN OUR EXCLUSIVE BOX SET so the ad was definitely hyping the Unratedness of the whole thing.

After seeing the 8-disk set at Costco just now, I'm now tempted to just get that and dump my big, wide silver box on ebay just to help conserve shelf space.

Not sure what to do.

I've had the same thought given the new 4 thinpack set would only be slightly bigger than one of those old double Alpha cases (and the old "Silver" SE Set was three of those bigger cases).

I'm wondering if Costco will have a coupon or instant rebate some time down the road for this set like they have with so many other FOX movie DVD sets in the past (Alien Quadrilogy for example).

are you referring to this?

nowhere on it says anything about unrated on the box set
left one is "Collector's" edition while the ads says the box set includes "Special" edition.

and the fact that the box set itself clearly marks LFoDH as PG13 only.

I have costco right in front of my place. went in the morning, saw the box with PG13 only and decided not to get one and came back here on the forum to ask if anyone got it and was it really PG13 only because I don't want to abuse their great return policy (can return opened DVD). but it's really a good deal so I went back after work to grab one anyway and confirmed the unrated version here.

droidguy1119, i'm not trying to pick on you or anything. I just want it this way that if anyone want to confirm anything, make it a fact, not by assumption.

So someone bluntly state it who has it already - is it unrated in the Costco set or not? If not, I'll return it when it arrives.

Did you not see the pics two posts above yours? That is the costco set and it clearly says on the disc Unrated.
