Plus, they have different packaging for the helmet version. It looks like this isn't available just yet.

This isn't really pertaining to the movie 300, but has anyone watched or purchased the Last stand of the 300 documentary? I was thinking about getting it at Best Buy today for $14.99 as a blind buy because it seems like a good companion to the movie. But, I decided to hold off. Any thoughts?

Sabrett same as the rest of the set.. they are all in 1st week sale price or offer.

I have the FYE as pre-order so I got the bonus disc as free.

£1,999.00? For God's sakes - it's almost $4000! WTF?

Exactly my sentiment. I paid only some 25 bucks for my steelbook, and I thought it was expensive already!

According to the Future Shop website, the UPC# for the one disc version is 085391195665. Hope that helps.

I watched it a while back on the history channel and ended up buying it. It is a good companion to the movie and i feel it adds weight to events of the movie, shame they did'nt include it in the extra features like the black hawk down set.

Hi PopcornTreetCt

Actually, I got a run-in with Warner Home Video with regards to Asian (HK, Philippines, Korea, Thailand, Indonesia) release of 300.

I beat the street date of release by one day (July 13th) and posted my aquisition here.

The date was July 11, 2007 at 10:38pm (page 7 of the former 300 thread)

http://forum.dvdtalk.com/showthread....8&page=7&pp=25

Your post about the Korean Steelbook you got was dated July 18, 2007 at 3:55pm (page 9 of the former 300 thread)

http://forum.dvdtalk.com/showthread....67#post8013567

I guessed you have missed my first post (which was 1 week ahead of yours)

Thus, I do have the Region3 300 Steelbook and giftset

I would imagine you cannot post images or content regarding a Region release that is not in your particular region until the specified date.

Great doc, you cant go wrong buying it. I will get it eventually.

Damn Xage, I missed the whole love/hate fest with all these people but your place has got to look like the 40yr old virgins house. Have you posted pics of all the stuff you have laying around?

Im happy with the 2 disc I got today for $12 (new) and the BB bonus.

I'd love to see an updated picture, and of the whole collection. Interested to see how it's set up.

Hi everyone - brand new to the boards here. Last week I went to the Best Buy in the South Bay mall in Dorchester, MA and they were carrying the exclusive gift set for $31.49. Looks like they were returned, but the one I got was unopened and the helmet was in great condition, even though the box was a little rough around the edges.

Got home from work today, and found the $7 rebate check from FYE.com in the mail. I was also surprised to find a separate envelope from FYE with one of the give-away exclusive 300 Bonus Discs, "A Storyteller's Legend". Unbidden, and unexpected.....a nice surprise.
Thank you FYE!

Will definitely get this one:

300: Limited Collector's Edition box set will be available this fall on DVD only, as a special box set including all the previous DVD extras along with two new documentaries (Recreating the Spartan Era and 300: Legend Filtered Through History, Graphic Novel and Film), as well as other exclusive memorabilia (a lenticular hologram, artwork cards and more).

The reason it's DVD only? Warner hinted that a much more elaborate Blu-ray Disc version is coming in 2009, complete with new BD-Live and Bonus View content.

Cool. Looking forward to it. Especially the picture of the exclusive graphic novel.

I assume it isn't the actual 300 graphic novel? If it was I would rebuy but probably not.
