I did not get a chance to open it yet and watch it....so I am not 100% sure that the DVD is not edited............BUT considering Randy Orton on television (not sure if it was SNME or RAW) said that 3 years ago he won the World Heavyweight title at Summerslam and this year he will win the WWE title.......IN MY OPINION.......He would not make that reference if it was taken off the DVD.

afcchamp88 08-21-07 07:05 PM

That Summerslam deal is great. I didn't have any of three, so it was a major score for me.

Mine was the same, but the insert was still inside and it shows Chris Benoit vs Randy Orton.

So, I'm guessing they just changed the slip cover.

No idea on the actual disc though.

Does not make sense why they would leave the insert in there if the DVD had no Security Stickers on there and they took the time to change the slip cover....but thank you for the info.

As for the CC exclusive 3-pack...are they all housed in a slip cover, or in a box, or are they just shrink wrapped together with a cardboard band around them?

Anyone have a picture?

I struck out at 4 Blockbusters today for the exclusive Great American Bash. If anyone finds an extra sealed one I am willing to pay $30 shipped for it. Thanks.

I simultaneously played my old version of SS04 on one player while playing the new one on another player, and the disc seems the same. There's even a commerical for Hard Knocks, which made me chuckle.

Does anyone know about a Wal-Mart exclusive Armageddon DVD? Not sure if it was 2005 or 2006, but my friend mentioned there was some sort of exclusive. Any info and/or PICS would be appreciated. :)

BravesMG 08-22-07 10:16 AM

I ordered the Hard Justice set from TNA about 10 days ago and my tracking confirmation just says that FedEx has received electronic information on it. I was going to give TNA a call to see what's going on with it, but their number isn't listed anywhere.

I could have sworn I saw a number listed in this thread for TNA shop customer service, but couldn't find it. Does anyone know where that number went or know a way to find it?

I think it was Armageddon 2005. It came with an Armageddon 2003 dvd too. I never got it, as I already had 2003 on dvd.

BravesMG 08-22-07 02:48 PM

I guess it does suck for those that had to buy the special, but the original three TNA DVDs are up for sale. $19.95 each or all 3 for $49.95, I picked one up. I doubt these will have any resale value since they're being rereleased, plus I hope everybody else that wants one can pick one up.

SO are these copies of the 2003 DVDs or are these the same exact DVDs from 2003. I believe the 2003 DVDs had 2-Discs.......anyone know if these are 1 disc or 2 discs?

I'd be willing to bet that they're the 1-disc versions, same as the "once they're gone they're gone" special from a few months back.

Anyone know if TNA's website takes Paypal?

EDIT: Also wanted to know, if any Paypal users have a "virtual debit card" and how it is.

Thanks so much for the pics and details of the Piper Film Cell. I'm assuming it's the same one with both the 3 disc and 2 disc version. I have the 3disc version already(no gifts) so I'll grab the CC 2 disc w/the Cell, and also the Blockbuster Exclusive as well.

Now i totally regret buying the Slammiversary set, main reason was for the DVDs.

"once they're gone they're gone", what a load of crap.

What i am guessing is that these DVDs are probably left overs from the Slammiversary sets that weren't sold, and likely THIS TIME once they're gone they're gone.

I agree. I wonder if the items are returnable since it says you have 60 days.......I wonder if that is 60 days from date of purchase or delivery?

sg2386 08-22-07 04:58 PM

looks to me now that the original 2 disc sets will have more resale value then the ones TNA are selling.

Its still great collectibles.

I hope they re-release the TNA Ultimate X Collection, i read that TNA sold it on their website for $6 on the DEAL OF THE DAY a while back. Should have bought it but i thought the shipping was ridiculous.

Are the Summerslam set DVDs uncut? Over at Meltzer's site, he's saying that the sets have all the Benoit matches cut from them.

I just popped in the first one (2004) and the Benoit match is there.

The Benoit match is also listed on the back cover of 2005.

Untitled 1 08-22-07 05:43 PM

Can anybody share pictures of the Summerslam 2004 DVD cover from the 3 disc set?

Yep, that's all it was. There was nothing different about Arm. 2005, that I'm aware of.
