agreed that it was missing in some spots, but Wal-Mart did stock it nationwide which is huge during the holidays. Sony seems commited to the stooges, as they kept releasing stuff that no one wanted in the colorized/best of disc. no doubt they will come, just how soon?

Okay, it really made me laugh to read this comment followed by an announcement of yet another Three Stooges best of disc.

I really, really hope Sony gets their act togther and gets the next volume out soon...

Actually, if you look at the Amazon page for that Shemp disc, it's by Passport, not Sony. And only about half of them are Stooges shorts.

EDIT: I just checked, it only includes three Stooges shorts, and they are all in the public domain, so I think it's safe to say Sony didn't have anything to do with it.

I am looking forward to volume 2. Hope it comes out soon.

I was also hoping Sony would put out more than one volume a year. If they don't we might be dead before we get all the Curly shorts. LOL!

All this seems to confirm the May 27th date...

http://www..com/three-stooges-193719...aakhejqfb8g8g0

http://videoeta.com/movie.html?via=form&id=103767

http://www.amazon.com/Vol-2-Collecti...633191&sr=1-36

The first one says Sony have announced it but there still isnt anything here, yet.

http://www.sonypictures.com/homevideo/upcoming.html

Hopefully in a day or two when the dvds on March 18th arent on the site anymore they're add more dvds on May 27th because even though alot of sites confirm May 27th, i wont believe it until its on Sony's site...

Edit: The first one, if you cant get into it, is ClassicFlix and then just type it Three Stooges...

In We Want Our Mummy (1939) was there a real mummy or was it a fake?
I had only seen that episode once in my life in the 1960's and always remembered the mummy. But I forgot the story on how it went.

Just picked up my copy of Vol. 1 over at BestBuy with a 10% off coupon. Ended up paying 17.99.. Sitting here watching the 1st disc of the set and can't wait for Vol. 2 to come out! Sony really did a superb job of restoring these 3Stooges shorts... They look crystal clear on my Samsung LCD via Oppo player.. I can only hope Sony intends to complete the set!

Well I have finished viewing the two Dvd's and have to tell all, how impressed I was with Sony's ReMastered Volume 1 of " The Three Stooges Collection, Volume One: 1934-1936 ". For any Die-Hard Fan of the 3Stooges this will become a " Must Have " collection! I love the chronological order of the short films, starting with the very first 3Stooges short.. The Image quality of this 2 Dvd Collection rivals anything offered in the past with Sound that is equally impressive, using Dolby to remove any hints of hiss.. I can't wait for the next Volume to be released, but I guess I will just have to..
May 27, 2008 is just around the corner, until then I will just enjoy Vol. 1..

Digitially Obsessed has posted some clips from a few shorts from
volume 2. If one thing is for sure, Back to the Woods looks worlds
better here than on the themed DVD it was on. There, it was plagued by
excessive hiss and grain. Doesn't look to be the case here. "...
Groans" looks significantly better too.

I'm sure these internet clips don't give the DVD justice, but these
clips do suggest that things will look/sound as pristine as ever.
