Re: Sony to begin Stooge DVD sets
I'm not an authority on Sony's intentions, but I thought I saw a thread on here somewhere where somebody claimed there would be a set for the movies, but I got the impression where I saw such a thing, that they didn't think they would make all the shorts, IOW, the message about the movies seemed like it was at least 3 years old.

Re: Sony to begin Stooge DVD sets
Does anyone know if the 3 Stooges made any appearances on the Radio?

Re: Sony to begin Stooge DVD sets
I suspect it is not applicable for most people reading this thread, but in case you haven't picked up any of these yet Amazon has all 8 sets available today (2 July) for ~$84.

I see you edited out the reference you found. A non-appearance on that one then?
The Stooges with Ted Healy appeared on "Thirty Minutes in HollyWood" on October 31, 1937. They do a comedy routine with George Jessel and then sing "The Kind of Rhythm for me." They get billed as "The Super Stooges". http://radiogoldindex.com/cgi-local/...s+In+Hollywood Now I need to track this show/episode down. Haven't found it yet. |
Re: Sony to begin Stooge DVD sets
I remember seeing Hollywood Party (1934) on TV many years ago. It was just a bunch of cameos of big Hollywood stars of the time. I barely remember it, but I think it had just a quick cameo of "Ted Healy and his Stooges."
It doesn't appear to be on DVD, either. |

Re: Sony to begin Stooge DVD sets
Not a peep, and with Sony starting it's own MOD program, I'd say it's a crapshoot from here on out as to how they're going to do things.
