BestBuy has this on their 2 for $20 list. So, you could get this for $10 if you buy another Stephen King release from their list.

Was it ever confirmed to be anamorphic?

The movie is in anamorphic widescreen on this new disc. I watched most of the movie last night. It's nice to see this once again in it's OAR.

The Lewis Teague commentary and making-of featurette included are also very informative. And, in case some of you missed this one--Lions Gate also quietly just released (last week) Lewis Teague's earlier acclaimed 1980 horror spoof Alligator with anamorphic transfer, commentary by Teague and star Robert Forster, and a featurette 'Alligator Author', in which writer John Sayles discusses the differences between his original story and final screenplay. Not quite on the same level as Cujo, but worthy in its own right. I suggest picking both of these up and having a nice Lewis Teague nature-run-amok double bill.

Can it finally be confirmed if the original DVD was an unmatted transfer or a pan & scan?

I wish I wasn't so tired, I can't wait to watch Cujo!! It's been years since I've seen it.
