I've had this pre-ordered at Columbia House for about 6 weeks and it still says release date of 8/7/07. We'll see if they charge my card here in the next couple days.

The Amazon link someone placed a few posts back (which shows a 9/11 release) also has a bilingual title in smaller print at the bottom. Zuh???

Yeah I actually noticed that too a few weeks ago. Weird. I don't see why they'd push this back as the release is coinciding with the new remake.

It didn't get pushed back. I just received a shipping notice from DVDPlanet.

I've seen three different release dates with walmart.com showing an October release. Guess we'll find out Tuesday.

Picked this one up at my favorite DVD store in the East Village last night, so it's definitely coming out Tuesday. The running time listed on Amazon is a misprint. It runs 117 minutes.

The original release was one of the first DVDs I ever bought. One of my top 30 or so movies of all time, I'll gladly double dip.

Hmmmm....my pre-order at amazon.com still says it comes out in September and shows no sign of shipping, whereas my Muppet Show season 2, which also comes out Tuesday, is now in the "shipping soon" stage.

Since other sites are shipping it, I may have to get over the fact that I have an amazon gift cert and cough up the cash for this somewhere else...don't know if I feel like waiting until whenever they feel like shipping it.

My Walmart has a few of them as well.

But the Best Buy swebsite still has a 9/11 release date showing. Is there a reason for this. Are they removing some special features or something?

I'd like to pick this up, but I'm not in a huge rush. But if this is going to be similar to the "Ed Wood" fiasco, I'll bite the bullet and buy it now.

I doubt they're removing features. The second disc is only about 45 minutes long as it is. Nice to finally have an anamorphic transfer of this though.
