Another packaging error is The Color of Money, which states anamorphic and isn't.

The Thing (1986) first pressing is not anamorphic despite the disk saying so.

H20 is indeed a packaging error? Have the UPC? Thanks! Can't speak on behalf of H20 UPC 717951001795 but reviews and cover suggests that it was correctly labeled non-anamorphic. It could have been re-released with a different cover that stated non-anamorphic though so this needs further confirmation.

And the new release of Ravenous does not says it is anamorphic, does it? It was just a packaging re-release anyway, wasn't it? The disc is the same? Cheers! The Quick and the Dead, UPC 043396735194, doesn't state anamorphic but is according to reviews and Rewind. gryffinmaster is a reviewer here so I would wait for additional confirmation as I'm basing it solely on Rewind and the reviews. I believe all other releases of it state anamorphic (Superbit, Bite the Bullet 2 pack). |

Thanks everyone, updated. Still waiting for additional confirmation on: The Quick And The Dead (1st regular release) H20 And missing a few UPC's if anyone has them. <s>E.T. (2-Disc Limited Collector's Edition)</s> Grabbed it from dvdempire Don Juan Demarco (keepcase re-release) Cheers! |
Please add the Schwarzenegger Collection (Predator, True Lies, Commando) to your list of DVD's that have false advertising packaging. Fox lists all 3 as being anamorphic, but not a damn one of them are.

Added. People please provide UPCs if you have them, so I don't have to go searching! Thanks :) |
Stark Raving Mad is anamorphic, but merely says "Widescreen Presentation" in the description. UPC 043396024878

What about the new Sergio Leone's? I know theres a huge thread about it, I think someone said no, but then dvdnews says yes, but the box says no.
So are the new Dollars trilogy and Duck You Sucker anamorphic? |

Stark Raving Mad added. Not sure about the Leone's, I don't have them yet. Someone else should know... |
I think Oliver Stone's 'Doors' in marked ANAMORPHIC but is only letterboxed....

The new purplish cover one (15th anniversary) is anamorphic. The older version (Special Edition) with silver cover and in a 2-disc alpha style case was not marked anamorphic unless there are different covers than the one I have. Of course there are also releases earlier than that if that's what you mean, but those are long OOP, and I see no point in tracking those now. |

However, the 15-Year Anniversary Edition that came out last year is anamorphic and says so on the cover. |
Recent Fox/M-G-M titles not designated as 16x9 on the back cover grid
I'm assuming these titles are just a few among a new Fox policy that omits any indication of 16x9 formatting on all widescreen titles:
The Sun Also Rises A Farewell To Arms Adventures of a Young Man These are the scope titles in the Ernest Hemingway Film Collection box set (0024543253020.) Also, from M-G-M: China Doll - 0027616073822 Play Dirty - 0027616073914 |
All i wanna know is if the version of Army of Darkness available on Deepdiscount is 16X9 enhanced...PLEASE HELP ME SOMEONE!!!

Can anyone confirm whether or not the new Trading Places SE is anamorphic? I assumed that it would be but someone left feedback on Amazon that it is not.
