When I read the last line of your post that quote was the first thing that came to mind.

Can't wait.. While the animation is nothing like Pixar or anything, it has a nice look all its own. I'm sure this will be a treat in HD. Lots of fun with this one, as long as you don't hold to any really strong preconceived connections to the original films or tv shows. This is more in line with the comics, which were always my favorite. Here's hoping for a sequel, buy it up!

I probably if given the choice between HD and the standard def disc, I'd probably buy the standard def as the movie was good and entertaining but not good enough for me to want to spend the extra money... but, it's on a combo format! Problem solved. Can't wait for this.

Why does everyone seem to ignore the NEW animated series that began in 2003? I enjoy it a lot more than the original series and it's style is also closer to the comics, like this movie. Yeah, it's been released in over 20-some DVD volumes (a lot of them out of airing order), but now they're being re-released in low-priced half-season 2-disc sets. Season 1 Part 1 is out now, Part 2 is out in September..
Fast Forward (the sixth season) isn't that great though. 4Kids stepped in when a few episodes went too "graphic" (for kids) and got them to tone it down for that season. But at least it's over. Now that the movie was a hit, they're going to make a new season similar in style to it. But that doesn't begin airing until fall 2008.
Back on topic: I cannot wait to get my hands on the TMNT 2-disc Deluxe Edition at Target. I'll be heading there first thing Tuesday morning.

Anyone know what's on the 2nd disc at Target? Looks like it may have content from another disc in another region. Like this one sans tin case.

This could be another Hot Fuzz meaning the bonus disc is substantial.

Damn, I had the Circuit City ad but I forgot to look at the action figures.
Does anybody have pictures/links of those action figures?
They're on CC's website, but the image is too small to really see.
I see that there are 4 different ones though... would it come with all of them, or would they give you a random one... fack! I want all 4!
If I buy a DVD with an exclusive and returned it, would I have to return the exclusive also? I'm sure it's obvious where I'm going with this, right? ha

Has anyone noticed that the the ads on TV for the DVD show a different coverart depending on the ads. Most of the ads show the coverart as being based on the theatrical one sheet whereas other ads feature that craptacular cover that I linked too earlier in this thread. What's the deal with that? Is the blue theatrical coverart for a two-disc set?
If so, and please forgive that this slightly off topic, will that also be the cover for the HD DVD release?

I can't check out the second link, left hook (it's denied for some reason on the work server
) but the first link features the crappy cover. The good cover, that I've seen featured on certain TV ads, is the one that looks like the cover of the sountrack CD.

You don't like the movie enough to warrant spending the extra money for the HD version, but you will buy the combo which costs even more than a regular HD disc?
