As cool as that looks, since I'd just be paying for a new case (I already have the 2-disc), I have to draw the line somewhere and pass on this one.

Same here. And honestly, I still like the look and feel of the original 2-disc more.

Fight Club is my favorite movie of all time. I will just stick with my special edition.
Still, I find it ironic that a movie like Fight Club is receiving the steelbook treatment. Tyler would be so disappointed.

Remember folks, the things you own, end up owning you.

You wouldn't want the DTS upgrade? That's the only reason I'm wanting to get it.

Seems like a good movie for it. I keep waiting, though, to see if more specs get posted about any of the commentaries being dropped.

It would seem impossible to have 4 commentaries and dts and expect good picture quality.

I believe the Lord of the Rings EEs did just that. Fight Club is about 140 minutes though and I believe those discs ran close to two hours in some cases so it might be possible.. I don't know, I still think this is just a repackage and that the specs aren't exactly true. I'm also waiting on more details concerning it.

I can't play DTS tracks, so it's not anything I care about.

I'd love to see a blind test on the DTS and DD tracks for these releases. I love DTS and I also love special packaging (just look at my collection), but the quality of the DD track on the original 2D SE is stellar!! I can only imagine what this release could improve on based solely on audio.

I wouldn't even do it if it were DTS-ES as the DD track on the SE is already 6.1. The only thing I might do it for would be a full bitrate DTS-ES track.

... and that's some pretty wild cover art!!
