Fight Club Steelbook? (06/05/07)
It looks like the old 2 disc set in a new case.

There are a few threads with the info already:

It seems that Fox is re-releasing several big MGM and FOX titles with the steel book case.

I don't know. The original is almost perfect, and as enticing as this is it's also something I'd want in HD once I make the jump. Buying it now just because the case is purty seems kind of stupid. Not that I won't wind up getting it during the next DDD sale or something...
I said it in the other thread but it bears repeating:
SONY, MAKE STEELBOOK THE DEFAULT BLU-RAY CASE AND WRAP UP YOUR DAMN FORMAT WAR ALREADY!!!

There was also a fifth commentary that was dropped for space reasons years ago, if they could also add this and DTS, I'd definitely pick this up.

I believe it was The Dust Brothers. I remember hearing about it back when the original DVD came out, so my memory may have gotten fuzzy over time.

I had to order this. I just sold my original 2-Disc Set for $11 on Ebay, so I am basically paying $9 for new packaging. Which is kind of a foolish thing to do, but this is easily in my Top 10 films of All-Time so this one is worth it to me. & I do love Steelbook DVDs.

As much as I hate double-dipping, I love Fight Club enough that I would buy this just for the case. I already have steelbooks for Dune and The Departed, and they are so damn sweet.
(Also have steelbooks for Halo 2 and Doom 3.)

Yea, if this is one of your favs then by all means, double dip. I picked up the Dune Extended Steelbook as well as the Boondock but those both had an upgrade in picture and sound. Just upgrading for a steel case seems like they are really diggin deep for new sales. Too bad for the thousands of people that won;t know any better.

I had picked up the single disc edition a while back from CH when the original 2 discer went OOP. Never got around to getting it when it resurfaced, but with the (hopefully) certain sale upcoming at DDD, I'll see what else is getting released in steelbook and grab it then.
