I really don't get how Blu-ray hasn't found a solution for this in-movie experience stuff yet. It's like they want HD-DVD to succeed. No Batman Begins, no V For Vendetta, no MATRIX, and now the HD 300 has features the Blu-Ray version doesn't. Just ridiculous. If they try to release the Matrix movies on Bluray without the in movie experience stuff I ain't buying.

So.. I missed out on the Pan's Labyrinth exclusive slipcover at futureshop.ca a few weeks ago because they don't ship to the US. Anyone know any way around this, just in case Best Buy isn't carrying the steelbook as well?

Sweet.. I don't know how I missed that Future Shop listing for the Steelbook edition. I will definitely be running out to get this one early on release day. If how well The Departed Steelbook sold at my local store, this one will be gone very fast.

That LE looks damn nice. I'm willing to bet there are going to be so many goddamn in-store exclusives people will be buying multiple copies (to return later) just for all the goodies.

Whatever happens, I just want the movie all in all. I really like what they're doing with the special editions, I like the choices. But in the end, it's all about the movie for me. I can't freakin' wait.

Is it known whether or not down the road of the possibility of an Extended Edition coming out or not? I seem to recall with Sin City we were at elast told that there would be and that is why I stayed away from the regular edition and just waited. Personally I am not the biggest fan of double-dipping and/or having to sell my first edition and buy the second one.

Warner Bros. is usually pretty good about not double dipping and always put out a pretty nice two discer on release day. I would say an extended edition is a slim possibility.

Besides, Synder has said they really only cut one or two significant scenes and those are going to be included on the 2-disc edition. I'd say an extended cut is pretty doubtful.

By the way two 300 editions were announced on ezydvd.com.au. Both are tins and one of them is a LE with a book.

That tin looks great link . My only gripe is that it's the artwork book with the set and not the actual graphic novel. I'll wait and see what other exclusives are about closer to release, but may well go for that set.

For those that did not get the bonus disc from BestBuy may want to look at Fleabay as a great deal of them are up and the prices are down compared to just a week ago. I think 1 just sold for $6 total.

I've preordered the Ezydvd Tin/Art book combo, long wait, but should be worthwhile.
Has anyone seen any R3 editions advertised yet? They sometimes have pretty sweet editions of big movies - the Korean X3 was probably the one of the nicest editions of that DVD.

That's exactly what I'm waiting for - a Korean LE. They make nice limited editions lately But as far as I know nothing were advertised yet.

But being a sucker for nice packages I already want both that release with a helmet and Australian tin. If Koreans release something (and I'm pretty sure they will) I may end up having three "300" editions.

Best Buy Canada has the following exclusive for 300 which I'm guessing it's probably going to be the same for the US:
The two disc version with a replica Spartan Helmet and collectible art.

Oh man, so hard to decide between that and the Future Shop exclusive steelbook. I wish Future Shop would just give away the steelbook as a bonus (like they did with V for Vendetta); that way I can have both ... ahem.
