To fix the UPC errors click on Collection --Flagged -- Load Set. You will get your flagged --incorrect UPC titles. You will need to replace the UPC with the 12 number, or 13 number if non region 1 discs. Do this the same way as before. Highlight the title , go to DVD -- change UPC.

It seems I also had a few disc ID errors as well as UPC errors. If you have any of those, you'll need to load the DVD in you DVD drive (if you have one) to get the correct disc ID assigned. If you don't have a DVD-ROM to load the discs into, you're probably best off just trying to find the correct profile in the database and deleting the bad one (after you verify that the correct one exists of course).

Okay, I did that but there's no "unconvertedUPC's.lst" file. Does that mean the 29 errors were all corrected?

The "UnconvertedUPC.lst" file is created when you first import the collection from the old version Profiler to the newer version.

I don't recall if the program creates this list file automatically or if you have to save it manually - someone else might know

version 3.0.3 is out and for me it is much better when typing in names when you don't have a UPC yet. it used to be etremely slow and now its much much faster.

Here's what I don't get. If running the update (Refresh Updated Profiles) is what corrected the 29 uncoverted UPC errors, then how come it didn't fix them when I originally restored from my backup file? I ran the update maybe 5 minutes after I installed 3.0 and loaded my backup, so it's not like all 29 were submitted to the database in that 5 minute span. And if just installing 3.0 and loading the backup doesn't fix any of the UPC errors, then why weren't all 714 of my DVD's flagged? I don't get it.

Unfortunately I don't know what any of those 29 titles were, so I can't check and see if they are actually corrected now. I don't feel like checking all 714 UPC's one by one, so is there a quick way to check if anything's still incorrect?

See post #101. DVD Profiler 3.0 uses the 12-digit UPC's instead of the 10-digit UPCs. Set the flag that Randy810 pointed out and it will flag the DVD's where you have to update the UPC's for. Then go in and update them to the 12-digit version.

You can always uninstall the program and repeat the process, checking before you update profiles this time.
