Thanks, I'm going to look into that.

Anytime Xage! I think they'll eventually release some. On the other hand North American studios stick to this tradition of making transparent cases what concerns Saw so maybe they'll keep doing it. There were few exceptions though - I mean the blood-pack and lenticular Saw II... So maybe they'll make a steelbook one day.

It's in Swedish only, but if you ordered from foreign onine stores already you'll figure it out how to make an order I guess. If you got questions, let me know.

Meanwhile I think I'll start updating the OP with cover pictures of every release . And I'll do it alphabetically country-wise. Starting with Australia. Cover, region, studio, what kind of edition, UPC. Guess that'll be it.

SAW IV 2-Disc Unrated & Uncensored Special Edition R2 NL

Release date: May 29, 2008
More blood on the cover than the Sweden version.

This makes nine SAW Steelbooks.

If there is a Lionsgate released film in Steelbook here in North America..

I guess that will trigger Twisted Pictures/Lionsgate/Maple/Chrystal to produce an Exclusive SAW Series/I,II,III,IV Steelbook in US & Canada

SAW Steelbooks

Rest of the World = 9
vs
US/Canada = 0

ah ok I heard it's really cool. One of these days I might just jump in and get the Jigsaw Puppet head Saw 1-3 & the Region 2 Saw 4 Motorised if it is still available then. Too bad I missed out on the Hot Topic one! Looks amazing.

I think you got a great collection! Keep collecting!

I'm not sure the distinction. If you're never going to play almost any of them, why not go all-region? Then you could really impress. The R1 releases are kind of blah compared to the non-R1's.

Any news on a SAW 4 2 disc edition like they usually do before the sequel comes out in theatres?

Yea, seriously. I just realized the other day when I saw an ad for Saw V that they never announced a new edition of Saw IV. I wonder what the deal is? Lionsgate get tired of milking fans dry? Not likely, I'm sure.

Right, I'm looking to get a nice collection of these films going. I only want one copy of each film, but I want the best copy of each. Is there an R2 guide anywhere that lists all the different varieties of the DVDs?

^ Why would you buy them on DVD if you already got them all on BR?

You're seriously asking that in this thread?

I'm curious, what made each of these the best edition?

Nope. Got them all relatively cheap on the Amazon Marketplace, though.

I'm not being cocky or anything, I know there are better editions out there, but I just meant the best editions (better features, etc) I could find on Amazon at the time.

SAW - Uncut (as opposed to regular)
SAW II - "Unrated Director's cut" (instead of regular), 2 discs instead of 1
SAW III - "Director's Cut" (instead of Extreme Edition), 2 discs instead of 1
SAW IV - the only release there, just with cool packaging.
