I'm sure this is your reason but anamorphic enhancement is literally the only reason to hold out. The Collector's Series DVD release is otherwise pretty much flawless -- audio commentary by Quentin and Robert, featurettes, deleted scenes, trailers, TV spots and a feature-length documentary called Full Tilt Boogie.

Yep, anamorphic transfer is the only reason I never upgraded to the CS. I still have the first release.
It would make sense for them to release a new edition now with an anamorphic tranfer with Grindhouse out.

I'd like to see a new SE of Home Alone 2. One with a new anamorphic transfer, 5.1 Dolby, bloopers, making of documentaries, audio commentary and deleted scenes and trailers. Knowing Fox it would probably have a cover like this:

Not big into special editions, but Beetlejuice is the one I would gladly pick up. Hopefully this year.

Flesh Gordon

Of course only the Feds know if they kept a copy of the unexpurgated X-rated version.

At least some special features were created for it because Susan Orlean was asked about them and said she had done something, I think perhaps a commentary. Maybe with Synedoche this year, they'll finally release it?

I'd definitely like to see a new release of Uncle Buck. Although, I saw it in the bargain bin at wally world the other day for $5.

A movie I'd like to see that was never released on DVD is Nightmare on the 13th Floor. It was a made for TV horror film that I've only ever seen on tv once and is extremely rare on VHS.

War Games.

Seriously, Oscar noms, known stars, a hit at its time. Prefigures the Digital Age and started the hacker genre.

I would like to see Risky Business get a SE release. I asked Warner in an old chat before and they said they were looking into a 25th anniversary release. I think it is a well made film and one I can watch again and again.

Well, it does have a commentary. Perhaps in a few months when the DTV sequel comes out.

Movies I'm dying to buy for my collection, but will have to wait until they get the anamorphic treatment.

Annie Hall
The Apartment
Everyone Says I Love You
Mighty Aphrodite
The Nightmare Before Christmas (I'd double dip for this one)

Bonnie and Clyde (Needs SE)
It Happened One Night (restoration)

I want to pick up Rebecca, Spellbound, and Notorious, but are they ever going to get rereleased again, either from Criterion or elsewhere? Ugh.

I'd glady rebuy the entire Woody Allen catalogue for Woody commentaries. I know he rarely, if ever watches his completed films, so I am not getting my hopes up... :-\
