The Ninth Gate?

I went to amazon.com today looking to buy The Ninth Gate. For some reason there is a version coming out on may 22, 2007 that is up for pre order.

http://www.amazon.com/Ninth-Gate/dp/...4800013&sr=1-2

Does anyone know if this is a new special edition?

If it is, I will double dip, one of my favorite movies. Plus my copy is getting pretty worn out.

It might just be a Lions Gate rerelease. They've been doing that to the older Artisan dvds.

At the price I'm sure it's just a re-release with a crappier cover. Pretty good movie though.

Great movie with an even better score. I'd dd for a SE, but this doesn't appear to be it.

Too much rewinding causes laser creases.

Well, if it's a re-release of the Artisan edition, it already has a lot going for it: anamorphic transfer, a commentary by Roman Polanski, isolated music score. storyboard selections, production notes, trailers and TV spots, etc. All in all, a very satisfying treatment of a terific movie.
